Description of the role:
Tutor Doctor - North County San Diego is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Tutor for World History and US History. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing personalized academic support to students 1:1 in their homes, assisting them in developing a strong understanding of historical events, concepts, and timelines. This is an excellent opportunity for those who have a deep understanding of history and enjoy sharing their knowledge with others.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with students in World History and US History
- Assess students' knowledge gaps and develop customized lesson plans
- Provide explanations, examples, and additional resources to enhance students' understanding
- Help students improve their critical thinking and analytical skills within the context of history
- Track students' progress and provide regular feedback to parents and guardians
- Adapt tutoring techniques to meet individual student needs and learning styles
- Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of World History and US History
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred
- 3rd or 4th year college/university education toward a Bachelor's degree in History or related field is a plus
- Passion for education and helping students succeed
