Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Facilitate the Culture Council, ERG leadership boards and recreational employee engagement activities, providing administrative support and advising on strategic direction.
  • Support communications departments with programming for heritage month celebrations and campaigns to promote cultural awareness and recognition.
  • Assist in developing proposals and program drafts for new events and initiatives in support of culture and retention goals.
  • Conduct internal research, external benchmarking, and cost analysis for proposed culture and retention initiatives.
  • Manage and track the data for all Hanwha Philly Shipyard survey points, including new hire surveys, apprentice surveys, exit interviews, engagement surveys and mentorships surveys.
  • Organize, prioritize, and provide direct support for employee suggestions and support needs.
  • Work directly with internal department leadership to implement culture and retention programs in areas of leadership, recognition, employee growth, and communications.
  • Support implementation and transition of culture and retention programs to the respective owners across the organization.
  • Provide a continuous improvement lens to culture and retention, advising on policy, programming, and operations to address top turnover factors.
  • Foster employee trust by living the CORE principles, attending company events, actively engaging with employees in all areas of the workplace, and serving as an approachable company ambassador.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a combination of administrative support, event coordination, research, and/or employee engagement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Power BI, and survey platforms (e.g., SurveyMonkey, UKG).
  • Experience with internal or community engagement.
  • Strong writing skills for internal communications
  • Intermediate proficiency in one or more languages in addition to English is a strong plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke. Work may be carried on indoors or outdoors, and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time, hybrid position with four days required in the office. Standard days and hours of work vary by department, days and hours determined by department schedules, and frequent participation in events on evenings and weekends. This position is safety sensitive.
