Shipping Coordinator

Enterprise Precast Concrete is the nation's premier provider of high quality architectural precast components for decades. We provide products from architectural panels and custom architectural fabrication to site furnishings and design/build consultation.

The Shipping Coordinator manages the activities of the loading, trucking and yard personnel in the performance of their work related and works closely with estimators to determine the most efficient and economical routing.

Requirements

• Meets regularly with the loading and yard personnel to communicate upcoming shipments, to discuss previous or potential yard or hauling problems, and to provide opportunity for improvement.
• Creates precast load lists according to erection sequence.
• Ensures that all "A" frames and shipping racks are inspected for quality and stability prior to each load.
• Collaborates with contractors, erectors, and project managers on scheduling and sequence of precast product loads, manages scheduling of shipments, and notifies appropriate customers of arrival dates.
• Works with Plant Manager to ensure that all loose hardware is ready to be shipped to the jobsite with the precast products.
• Works with QC to ensure the quality of the precast products.
• Routes drivers for daily deliveries of precast products and custom hauls.
• Assumes responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment.

Education/Experience:

• HS Diploma or GED and minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations pertaining to the transportation industry.
• Sufficient knowledge in the precast concrete manufacturing industry preferred but not required.
