Job Review:
This position supports our device clinic at Heartland. Staff check remote device checks, utilize critical thinking to triage these checks, monitor device checks for in clinic visits with providers, perform wound checks on device patients, and complete phone triage on device patients. There are approximately 1100 device patients enrolled at Heartland's device clinic. Staff in this role must utilize good critical thinking skills and be able to work independently.
Will perform duties as needed for the communities served, in a manner that reflects the physical, psychological, and spiritual healing ministry of Christ.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Performing device checks on patients with ICD, ICM, and pacemakers, in clinic
- Reviewing remote device checks on patients with ICD, ICM, and pacemakers, utilizing critical thinking to relay information to the provider
- Working independently to complete required workloads for the week
- answering telephone calls and triaging as needed
Position has opportunity for growth. Floating to outreach offices may be a requirement of this position; outreach locations include Santa Claus, Washington, French Lick, Petersburg, and Montgomery depending on the location of the candidate
RequiredCertifications/Licenses/Experience:
- BSN or 5+ years of cardiac nursing experience
Preferred Certification/Licenses/Experience:
- Knowledge of cardiac rhythms,
