Applications Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Interpret Machine Manuals to write Macros and aid in advanced machining operations
• Perform troubleshooting to determine machine malfunctions, adjust and then test to ensure machine is performing to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Standards
• Work with Programming to establish and optimize proper cutting parameters
• Project Management on all Onboarding activities
• Establish cutting technology and tooling/fixturing/work holding methods
• Determine and communicate Methods and Sequence of Operations to all internal and externals customers.
• Must adhere to budget as detailed in Onboarding documents.
• Must always be pursuing and implementing new technology.
• Provide ongoing feedback to Engineering/Quoting/Quality departments.
• Participate as a member of the quoting team.
• Provide input to CAPEX committee
• Maintains safe and clean work environment; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications:

• Must have demonstrated proficiency with all qualifications, duties, requirements, and responsibilities associated with a Developer
• Must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities as detailed above
• Must demonstrate the ability to understand and work with basic mathematical concepts
• Must have full understanding of all aspects of machine manufacturing. i.e.: 3, 4, 5 Axis and Gantry Machines, Material Types, Tooling, Fixtures, Fixture Design, Part Holding Techniques, Advanced CNC Programming (NX / CATIA)
• Must have advance knowledge and application of GD&T and Machine capabilities.
• Must have demonstrated Project Management skills including but not limited to: Budgeting, Cycle Times, Adherence to Schedule.
• Must have demonstrated track record of Optimizing Processes and Programs
