About this role: We’re seeking a strategic RIA Business Development Consultant to drive growth by identifying, engaging, and onboarding Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and independent financial advisors. About this role:

We’re seeking a strategic RIA Business Development Consultant to drive growth by identifying, engaging, and onboarding Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and independent financial advisors. This role supports advisor transitions, platform solutions, and long-term business planning, while executing initiatives that advance RIA channel development through research, documentation, and reporting.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in planning and execution of Business Growth Strategy activities and projects that directly support or assist in implementation and optimization of efforts for growth opportunities in an assigned market
  • Ensure adherence to compliance regulations and policies within Business Growth Strategy functional area
  • Perform research within Business Growth Strategy functional area, identifying and selecting best channels and product combinations to improve effectiveness and efficiency of coverage in marketplace and to meet the unique needs of customers
  • Develop strategies to enhance sales in a designated market and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in Business Growth Strategy operations, policies, procedures and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with Business Growth Strategy managers, colleagues, stakeholders, bankers, brokers, and both business and community leaders, including internal or external customers to grow market share and meet customer needs
  • Lead Business Growth Strategy projects and teams
  • Serve as a mentor for less experienced individuals

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) exams to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents).
  • Deep understanding of the RIA model, advisor lifecycle, and transition processes.

Job Expectations:

  • US Only: Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate FINRA license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. FINRA Series 7 and 66 examinations or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or 180-day time period, depending upon number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required.
