Position Details The Department of Information & Technology Management in the Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa is seeking applications for part-time instructors to teach undergraduate courses in Managerial (Business) Statistics. This course provides students an overview of basic statistics including descriptive statistics, basic probability concepts, probability distributions, inferential statistics, one and two sample hypothesis testing, simple linear regression, multiple regression, basic time series concepts, and statistical process control. Responsibilities will include: 1. Teach one or more 4-hour course sections per semester. 2. Modify existing course syllabus with input from the department course coordinator. 3. Provide meeting time for students. 4. Manage online course system (Blackboard) to supplement classroom instructor. The successful candidate will have: 1. A minimum of a Master's Degree and at least 18 credit hours in statistics, mathematics or a related field. 2. Professional experience with statistical analysis in organizational or academic environments plus previous teaching experience is highly preferred. 3. Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and its related statistical capabilities preferred. 4. Demonstrated continuous self-improvement by actively pursuing discipline-related continuing education, professional development, or active participation with professional or academic organizations. Engineering a world of possibilities Full-time Research Support positions in the Hammerling Research Group offered through the Applied Mathematics and Statistics department in collaboration with the Payne Institute for Public Policy. The Hammerling Research Group is one of the leading research groups for modeling and data analysis of methane emissions and monitoring. These positions will lead one or more research projects in the group, focused on data analysis and modeling of methane emissions at various temporal and spatial scales. These positions will interface with other research groups engaged in collaborative projects. Annual terms and reappointment may depend on performance and/or continued availability of funding. The Research Support position collaborates in a team environment with other funded researchers and faculty at Mines and interacts with research team partners at other US institutions. These positions will span a number of objectives related to the energy research and modeling performed by the group. The successful candidates will build strong and positive working relationships with students, faculty, and administrators, as well as external community and business partners as required by the project. Occasional travel for meetings with collaborators and scientific conferences is likely. The successful candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States by time of application; Mines will not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Prior experience in near-field atmospheric phenomena, including dispersion, emissions transport, sampling, and measurement methods would be a great plus! GIS (open source preferred), Google Earth Engine (GEE), and/or other spatial data tools. Experience with Linux/Unix platforms, High Performance Computing, and modern code practice, including the use of online code repositories (e.g., Github). Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly as evidenced by conference presentations or in-prep or published articles in peer-reviewed scientific publications. Prior experience working in a multi-university collaborative environment. Interest in or experience with contributing to diverse, equitable, and inclusive research groups. Position Details

The Department of Information & Technology Management in the Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa is seeking applications for part-time instructors to teach undergraduate courses in Managerial (Business) Statistics.  This course provides students an overview of basic statistics including descriptive statistics, basic probability concepts, probability distributions, inferential statistics, one and two sample hypothesis testing, simple linear regression, multiple regression, basic time series concepts, and statistical process control.

Responsibilities will include:

1.  Teach one or more 4-hour course sections per semester.

2.  Modify existing course syllabus with input from the department course coordinator.

3.  Provide meeting time for students.

4.  Manage online course system (Blackboard) to supplement classroom instructor.

The successful candidate will have:

1.  A minimum of a Master's Degree and at least 18 credit hours in statistics, mathematics or a related field.

2.  Professional experience with statistical analysis in organizational or academic environments plus previous teaching experience is highly preferred.

3.  Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and its related statistical capabilities preferred.

4.  Demonstrated continuous self-improvement by actively pursuing discipline-related continuing education, professional development, or active participation with professional or academic organizations.
