The VHA Survey of Veteran Enrollees’ Health and Utilization of Health Care (Survey of Enrollees) began in 1999 as a key input for the Enrollee Health Care Projection Model. It is an annual survey that gathers information from enrolled Veterans regarding their perceived health status, experiences with health services, current and anticipated future health care usage, insurance coverage, access to telehealth, and demographic characteristics. Participation remains voluntary. The data collected has supported projections of future health care utilization and informed VHA leadership in planning for the evolved needs of the Veteran population.
