Job Description: Staff Engineer - Finance Data Specialist GEICO is seeking Finance Data specialists to support the build out of a Finance Data Warehouse/Lake by partnering with both Finance and Technology teams to redesign the way they use their technologies in managing GEICO's business. This individual must have strong functional and technical Finance Systems background to partner with the Business ensuring effective discussions to drive the capture, transformation, and utilization of Finance data to meet Business goals. The Staff Engineer, Finance Data Specialist will report to the Senior Manager of Finance Data & Analytics and will provide solutions on how to build out, maintain, and support a Finance Data repository to support FP&A processing and analytics while also supporting the larger Finance organization's need for Finance data. The Finance Data Specialist will work with multiple Finance and Technology leaders to support the build out the company's Finance Data Warehouse/Lake to provide a central repository for all Financial related transactions so it can be a reconciled source of truth for processing and the source for Revenue and Expense analytics. This role is also accountable to support the delivery of technology solutions that will support FP&A Planning/Budgeting, financial reporting, Revenue/Expense Analytics, and the build out of the Finance Data Warehouse to become a reconciled source to allow the GL to become a "thin" ledger.
