POSITION SUMMARY: The Supervisor is responsible for overall management and coordination of the contract and shall act as the official point of contact with the Government. The Supervisor is authorized to commit the organization’s resources as necessary to perform the requirements of the contract. The Supervisor must have the skills, knowledge and experience to manage all aspects of the contract. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES: • Manages the day to day operations effectively and efficiently to ensure the work is performed in accordance with the contract. • Responsible and will ensure organizational employees, subcontractors, and vendors comply with all contractual requirements and all government regulations. • Is point of contact with the Government and shall have the authority to act or make decisions for the organization on all matters pertaining to the contract; except for amending or modifying material aspects (i.e. price, scope of work, etc.). • Accountable for managing and maintaining a contract budget and reviewing processes for efficiency. • Responsible for scheduling of personnel, reviewing and approving time cards, inventory management of supplies, equipment, and vehicles. • Sets and guides employee expectations, reviews and counsels, and establish and implement process improvement plans, and ensures adherence of the company policies and procedures. • Execute Employee Performance Evaluations through the payroll system within appropriate time frames. • Ensures standard work practices are followed for safety and provides training for operating equipment and vehicles, use of supplies, and the requirements of the performance work statement. • Responsible for analyzing and maintaining the contract AbilityOne Ratio requirements through the proper work scheduling of direct disabled employee hours vs non-disabled employee hours. • Responsible for completion of Limitation & Accommodation Quarterly Reports for each AbilityOne employee. • Serve as facilitator for the AbilityOne Program with the AbilityOne department. • Execute reports, inspections and logs as required by the contract. • Provide field information and specifications to prepare estimates for new work added or deleted to the contract. • Other tasks as may be directed by the Director of Operations, or associated project manager. • Pass and maintain any required security clearance requirement and comply with Drug Free Workplace policy. • Maintain Operations Security (OPSEC) standard operations procedure. • Maintain Property Control Plan for management of Government Furnished Property (GFP). • Maintain a safety and health program that complies with EM 385-1-1 and applicable OSHA, DOD, Armed Forces Branch(s), Federal, state, and local safety, environmental and health requirements. • Maintain a site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP) in accordance with Appendix A, EM 385-1-1. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Required OSHA 30 hour General Industry course or ability to acquire certification within 30 days of employment. SUMMARY OF POSITION: The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Company’s overall Maintenance operations. This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating & supporting the Account Managers, Supervisors, and field staff in their daily operations. This individual must possess the skills & diplomacy to work with external clients / service providers as well as internal staff for timely & successful performance. Additionally, this position will oversee and support in sending out work orders, preparing budgets, coordinating the crews / resources, purchasing supplies, sending monthly property updates to the clients, keeping maintenance account info updated in Salesforce, Sage, and Procore (Company software). This person will basically be responsible for the administrative functions of the Maintenance department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Assist in the coordination of base Maintenance crews and their schedule. Manage the coordination of the Enhancement & Up-Sell crews and their schedule. Assist in the support of the field crew’s success, along with Human Resources & Safety departments, as needed. Communicate with clients as required to support and drive the success of the department. Manage the annual calendar of account recurring servicing (irrigation inspections, drainage inspections / testing, lighting, etc…). Help prepare work orders and budgets for enhancements & up-sells. Assist in tracking and monitoring budgets to ensure compliance with expected profit margins. Assist in coordinating and updating the Maintenance route schedules for efficiency. Help with purchasing and coordinating resources for the department Send out notices and monthly updates to all Maintenance accounts Provide Accounting department with a weekly report on completed work that needs to be billed. Provide Accounting department with a monthly report on changes in monthly base account billings. Support the Maintenance Account Managers with documenting client interactions, requests, needs, issues, up-sells, etc. in Salesforce. Ensure the Company’s three (3) major software are kept current and accurate with key data (Salesforce, Procore, and Sage). Any new or additional functions, oversights, and responsibilities that will support the Maintenance & Specialty crew operations. Perform other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Two (2) to three (3) years of landscape maintenance, operations, and/or logistics experience. Proactive self-starter, achieving high productivity with strong attention to detail; ability to work independently with little instruction; coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks, set deadlines, and complete projects in a timely manner is required. Demonstrate the highest level of professional and ethical conduct. Positive, tenacious attitude. Strong verbal and written English and Spanish communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable environment; works well under pressure and tight deadlines. Ability to consistently apply good judgment and make good decisions. Ability to always maintain confidentiality and discretion. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Organized with a proven ability to juggle multiple projects at once. Excellent leadership and time management skills. Experience managing complex project/event logistics. Some local travel – up to 50%. Must possess a valid California Driver's License. A Day in the Life of a Landscaping Crew Member: Start your day by checking in in your supervisor and your team members. Review the day’s assignments, and load up the truck with the tools and equipment you’ll need. Once you arrive at your assigned location, you’ll jump into action by: Mowing large lawn areas, edging sidewalks and driveways, and trimming around trees, fences, and other hard-to-reach spots. Next, you’ll focus on landscaping tasks like: Weeding flowerbeds, pruning shrubs and small trees, laying mulch, or planting seasonal flowers. As you wrap up the job site, you’ll blow off walkways, clear any debris, and make sure everything looks polished. You'll reload tools, clean up the work area, and communicate any site notes or equipment issues to your crew leader. Once the team arrives back to the office, you’ll help unload, clean up, and prep for the next day. Here’s what you’d do:

You’d flex your leadership skills, directing the work of 2-5 team members. You’d ensure assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Our crew leaders oversee crews in varying service lines, including basic maintenance, landscape installation, and supportive services like irrigation, seasonal color management, and chemical applications. 

You’d be responsible for:

  • Performance & Quality:
    • Overseeing day-to-day site operations and delegating work to crew members
    • Maintaining a schedule, and ensuring service expectations are met
    • Identifying more efficient ways to perform work
       
  • Client Satisfaction:
    • Surfacing client concerns to the Production Manager and proactively assisting in achieving a resolution
       
  • Crew Management:
    • Providing the Production Manager with feedback on crew members
    • Assisting the Production Manager in the development and training of crew members
    • Turning in accurate crew time logs
       
  • Safety:
    • Ensuring all crew members perform their work safely and in accordance with company policies 
    • Ensuring equipment is in good working order and receives appropriate preventative maintenance
    • Logging equipment usage and maintenance cycles

You might be a good fit if you have:

  • Equivalent experience in a landscape-related field
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Experience managing and leading a team
