Landscaping Crew Leader

Job Summary:The Landscaping Crew Leader at U S Lawns of Roanoke is a full-time, hourly position in the franchise industry located in Roanoke, Virginia. This individual contributor role is responsible for leading a team of landscapers to provide high-quality landscape maintenance and beautification services to various commercial properties. The Crew Leader plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the visual appeal and functionality of the properties we serve.Compensation & Benefits:The Landscaping Crew Leader position offers a competitive hourly rate of $16 to $20 per hour, paid weekly. Additionally, this position is eligible for benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth within the company.Responsibilities:• Lead a team of landscapers to complete daily tasks and projects in a timely and efficient manner• Oversee all aspects of landscape maintenance, including mowing, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and weed control• Ensure that all work is performed according to company standards and client specifications• Train and mentor new team members on proper landscaping techniques and safety procedures• Monitor the quality of work performed by team members to ensure client satisfaction• Maintain and repair equipment as needed• Communicate effectively with clients to address any concerns or inquiries• Assist with snow removal and other seasonal tasks as needed• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policiesRequirements:• Minimum of 2 years of experience in landscaping or a related field• Proven experience in team leadership and supervision• Knowledge of plant varieties and landscaping techniques• Ability to operate and maintain various landscaping equipment (e.g. lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers)• Excellent time management and organizational skills• Strong communication and customer service skills• Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in various weather conditions• Valid driver's license and clean driving recordEEOC Statement:U S Lawns of Roanoke is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
