Responsibilities Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and any special requirements Working knowledge of mathematics with the ability to apply mathematical formulas and engineering principles to field measure quantities and calculate quantities of completed work to recommend payment to the contractor for items of work Ability to prepare clear and concise Daily Inspection Reports to document the work performed, the manpower, material, and equipment used; field measure and calculate quantities of work completed and other pertinent information Operational knowledge of field inspection equipment Good oral and written communication skills Requirements Minimum of five years of bridge/highway experience Working knowledge of bridge and highway construction methods, materials, standards, and specifications NICET, ACI, SAT, and Traffic Control certifications (preferred) 10-hour OSHA safety training certification NJDOT and NJTA experience (preferred) Good writing and communication skills Benefits We offer a professional work environment, competitive salary, benefits package and 401(k).
