Responsibilities:

  • Assist pipefitters with the layout, assembly, and installation of piping systems according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Transport and organize materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site, ensuring they are readily available for use.
  • Prepare work areas by cleaning and organizing spaces, removing debris, and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Perform basic pipefitting tasks under the supervision of experienced pipefitters, including cutting, threading, and assembling pipes.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety meetings.
  • Clean, maintain, and store tools and equipment properly to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during the project.

Education Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required. Willingness to learn and gain experience in pipefitting is essential.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Job Requirements/Special Skills:

  • Basic understanding of construction practices and safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of various pipefitting techniques and tools.
