As a Project Manager in our Construction Services Group, the focus is on identifying opportunities, planning, coordinating, monitoring, and managing construction related support activities for multi-discipline power design projects. Specific responsibilities include: Serve as a key client contact tasked with building and maintaining client relations with both internal and external clients coupled with the development of new Power Construction Services clients. Work with marketing for proposal development and opportunity tracking. Oversee contract and MSA negotiations, conduct resource recruitment, and provide invoice approval and budget development for multiple projects concurrently. Serve as the key client contact and project manager on larger projects involving multiple services and personnel and will make decisions on staffing levels, field resources, and coordination of external resources to properly execute project goals. Lead and/or support business development as it relates to Construction Services, developing and maintaining annual goals. Develop and lead the QA/QC process on a project specific basis as well as maintain project document control. Will assist or lead projects as a client lead and/or project manager. Power | HDR

HDR is looking for a Construction Project Manager to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Construction Professionals in the Southwest.

As a Project Manager in our Construction Services Group, the focus is on identifying opportunities, planning, coordinating, monitoring, and managing construction related support activities for multi-discipline power design projects. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a key client contact tasked with building and maintaining client relations with both internal and external clients coupled with the development of new Power Construction Services clients.
  • Work with marketing for proposal development and opportunity tracking.
  • Oversee contract and MSA negotiations, conduct resource recruitment, and provide invoice approval and budget development for multiple projects concurrently.
  • Serve as the key client contact and project manager on larger projects involving multiple services and personnel and will make decisions on staffing levels, field resources, and coordination of external resources to properly execute project goals.
  • Lead and/or support business development as it relates to Construction Services, developing and maintaining annual goals.
  • Develop and lead the QA/QC process on a project specific basis as well as maintain project document control.
  • Will assist or lead projects as a client lead and/or project manager.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specific experience providing construction services support for Power Delivery, Hydro, Generation, and Renewables projects.
  • Relevant Industry Certifications (PMP, PE, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 10 years related experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
