Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the construction and execution of natural gas turbine-based power plants (ranging from 200 MW to 1,000 MW, with generator sizes between 20 MW and 40 MW). Manage the installation and commissioning of 13.8 kV electrical systems, balance of plant (BOP), and associated infrastructure. Oversee civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and best practices. Provide technical oversight for exhaust aftertreatment system design and installation, ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements. Manage the installation and integration of natural gas process and supply systems, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards. Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring on-time completion of milestones. Lead contract negotiations with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to optimize cost and performance. Manage project budgeting and cost control, ensuring projects remain within financial targets. Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and key stakeholders to resolve technical and construction challenges. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout the construction process. Provide leadership in quality assurance and control to maintain high standards in plant construction. Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and status updates to senior management. Other Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred). 10+ years of experience in power plant construction, with a focus on natural gas turbine technology (Solar, Siemens, or equivalent). Experience managing power plants ranging from 200 MW to 1,000 MW, with generator sizes between 20 MW and 40 MW. Strong expertise in 13.8 kV electrical systems, balance of plant, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical construction. Proven experience in system installation and design for exhaust aftertreatment systems and natural gas process and supply. Expertise in project scheduling, contract negotiation, budgeting, and cost control. Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and best practices for power plant construction. Experience managing large-scale industrial or power projects, including contractor and vendor oversight. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Experience in distributed energy resources (DER), microgrids, or hybrid power systems. Knowledge of NERC, FERC, and ISO regulations related to power generation. PMP or equivalent project management certification. The role will entail planning and coordinating construction activities for a designated project to ensure the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within the project schedule and budget constraints by performing the duties listed below. Projects are assigned to Coordinators based on geographical location, skill level, and experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: At all times, provide safety oversight in an effort to ensure compliance with all safety procedures at site. Report safety compliance issues and safety incidents to client's construction manager and Orbital supervisor. Work with construction supervision and on-site safety personnel to stop unsafe construction activities. Prior to construction, participate in construction activity planning, pre-construction drawing reviews, and overall constructability reviews. Inspect construction site and complete pre-construction checklist tasks. Ensure necessary permits (local, state, environmental, etc.) and site/job specific plans (environmental, safety, etc.) are in place, signed, and posted at the job site. During construction, inspect work to ensure that all safety and environmental policies are being followed and that the project is being constructed per the applicable specifications, drawings, and permits. Manage communication with construction crew(s), client project manager, and engineering to resolve all queries (Requests for Information or RFI's) that may inhibit construction progress. During construction, identify field-purchased material needs and communicate those needs to the client Construction Manager in writing. Order materials and rental equipment as necessary and coordinate deliveries. Inventory materials and identify shortages as the project progresses in order to prevent delays in schedule. During construction, prepare Daily Log Reports that indicate progression of project to outline deficiencies in schedule, track completed construction activities, highlight safety incidents, and monitor compliance of work with specifications/drawings. During construction, perform other miscellaneous duties including maintaining redline construction drawing markups, completing weekly safety audits, communicating scope changes, confirming utility locates, and signing crew timesheets. In general, occasionally climb ladders and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Minimum Requirements HS Diploma or equivalent 5 Years Relevant Construction / Maintenance Experience This position requires the ability to pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in compliance with Federal regulations and is also subject to random testing as a condition of continued employment. Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Attributes Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Similar Experience in Commercial / Industrial T&D or Experience in Management Preferred May have a background in structural, mechanical, or electrical (preferred) construction / engineering but must at a minimum be familiar with construction prints/drawings.   • Provide leadership in quality assurance and control to maintain high standards in plant construction.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and status updates to senior management.

Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in power plant construction, with a focus on natural gas turbine technology (Solar, Siemens, or equivalent).
  • Experience managing power plants ranging from 200 MW to 1,000 MW, with generator sizes between 20 MW and 40 MW.
  • Strong expertise in 13.8 kV electrical systems, balance of plant, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical construction.
  • Proven experience in system installation and design for exhaust aftertreatment systems and natural gas process and supply.
  • Expertise in project scheduling, contract negotiation, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and best practices for power plant construction.
  • Experience managing large-scale industrial or power projects, including contractor and vendor oversight.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in distributed energy resources (DER), microgrids, or hybrid power systems.
  • Knowledge of NERC, FERC, and ISO regulations related to power generation.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
