Position Overview The landscape construction team member performs a variety of tasks assigned by the team leader. The landscape construction team member engages in the following activities with supervision from the team leader. Uses hand tools including shovels, picks, rakes, etc. to dig holes for plant and hardscape elements, lawn grading, seed/sod installation and related activities. Performs other related tasks to aid in the construction and maintenance of softscape and hardscape projects. Safely operates and maintains assigned equipment; notifies team leader of any necessary repairs. Aids in maintaining clean and safe jobsite; clean up and walk through to ensure all tasks are completed and accounts for all company equipment assigned to team. Maintains professional image at all times and provides polite responses / interactions with clients. Reports to work at required time effectively listen and perform assignments from team leader. May assist in equipment loading and unloading. Snow removal operations as required Experience and Qualifications High school degree or GED is preferred but not required. One year of experience is preferred but not required. Candidate must be able to read and write. Some knowledge of installation and maintenance practices including pruning, plant installation, hardscape installation, etc. is preferred but not required. QUALIFICATIONS A minimum of 7 years of Residential construction management experience is required (10+ years preferred). A minimum of 7+ years of carpentry (framing, boxing/siding, trim, window and door) experience required. Project or Construction Management degree preferred, but extensive, relative job experience will be considered in lieu of degree. A high standard for customer service within the residential building or remodeling industry required. Position Overview

 

The landscape construction team member performs a variety of tasks assigned by the team leader. The landscape construction team member engages in the following activities with supervision from the team leader. Plant installation and care, hardscape installation (concrete paver and natural stone pavements, retaining walls and other elements), material movement, excavation and other duties assigned.

Responsibilities

 

  1. Plant installation (transport, soil amendments, placement, etc.)
  2. Material movement throughout jobsites including wheelbarrow, ball cart, tarps and other tools.
  3. Uses hand tools including shovels, picks, rakes, etc. to dig holes for plant and hardscape elements, lawn grading, seed/sod installation and related activities.
  4. Performs other related tasks to aid in the construction and maintenance of softscape and hardscape projects.
  5. Safely operates and maintains assigned equipment; notifies team leader of any necessary repairs.
  6. Aids in maintaining clean and safe jobsite; clean up and walk through to ensure all tasks are completed and accounts for all company equipment assigned to team.
  7. Maintains professional image at all times and provides polite responses / interactions with clients.
  8. Reports to work at required time effectively listen and perform assignments from team leader. May assist in equipment loading and unloading.
  9. Snow removal operations as required

 

Experience and Qualifications

 

  • High school degree or GED is preferred but not required. One year of experience is preferred but not required.
  • Candidate must be able to read and write.
  • Some knowledge of installation and maintenance practices including pruning, plant installation, hardscape installation, etc. is preferred but not required.
  • Reliable transportation to shop and assigned jobsite, if applicable.
  • Submit to background check.
