POSITION SUMMARY Leads, manages field associates, and performs self-perform work on construction projects, performing general labor tasks such as demolition, loading/unloading, digging, and clean-up to aid daily operations at a construction site. Immediately halts work concerning all life-safety issues. Ensures work areas are cleaned and organized. Utilizes the Operational Risk Management system to communicate and plan safety for daily tasks. Schedule Management Coordinates daily with site Superintendent for schedule updates. Coordinates and schedules daily work to be put into place with trade partners, suppliers, and field associates, and adjusts with project team as necessary to stay on schedule. Maintains three week look-ahead schedule identifying materials and manpower needs to ensure work being performed is properly staffed with manpower, materials, and equipment. Budget Management Reviews the self-perform budget, weekly reports, daily unit entry, and daily timecards, to ensure project meets or exceeds estimated production rates. Monitors daily production to ensure work is being performed within budget requirements. Sets corrective measures to steer self-perform work back in budget by communicating and coordinating with field associates. Reports any labor report errors or discrepancies to project team. Materials, Supplies and Equipment Monitors material and deliveries to ensure accurate quantities are delivered and meet project specifications. Maintains company tools and equipment by following manufacturers’ specifications for maintenance requirements and conducting safety inspections. Evaluates and reviews tool and equipment needs with Superintendent. Quality Control Manages and sets overall quality control expectations for self-perform work. Uses the project quality control plan to ensure self-perform work meets or exceeds project specifications. Manages self-perform punch list with the goal of zero items. Documentation Maintains documentation of work including accurate timesheets, daily field reports, inspections, weekly safety reports and other reports. Manages documentation of expenses by keeping receipts and regularly completes expense reports for submission to Accounting Department. Staffing Evaluates manpower needs by communicating with the Project Team/Field Craft Manager to add and remove staff, accordingly. Supervises performance of field associates and provides feedback to strengthen the project team. Monitors field craft attendance, performance, safety compliance, quality control, conduct, and adherence to the company’s Core Values. Addresses disciplinary concerns with Project Team/Field Craft Manager. Encourages and recognizes field team for work completed on time and with high quality. Meetings and Relationships Maintains good relationships with trade partners, suppliers, inspectors, and field associates by communicating regularly and leading in a professional and courteous manner. Attends pre-installation meetings with suppliers and trade partners when directly pertaining to self-perform scopes of work. Attends and participates in self-perform pull planning meetings. Summary/Primary Role: This role will be a major contribution to Brightcore’s geothermal construction division by providing on-site direction in ground-up commercial construction projects. This on-site role demands a results-driven and seasoned professional with experience in construction management, particularly in overseeing drilling operations, managing subcontractors, and ensuring project safety, budgets, and timelines are met. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: (Management may amend or assign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time) Serve as the primary on-site project manager, overseeing drilling operations and subcontractor activities. Enforce and enhance safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines to ensure successful project completion. Engage from project reimplementation through mobilization to project completion. Direct involvement in ground-up construction, especially during the foundation phase. Demonstrate proficiency in contract management, understanding how each component fits into the larger construction puzzle. Liaise effectively with general contractors and address their requirements. Collaborate seamlessly with site supervisors, project managers, general contractors and construction teams to ensure project goals are met. Participate actively in meetings discussing submittals, shop drawings, and project-related matters. All other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in construction management. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field. Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license. Ability to travel to various locations as required by the job. Must have SST card. Proven experience in managing ground-up commercial construction projects. Strong understanding of safety regulations, budgeting, scheduling, and contract management. Procore software experience preferred. Commercial mechanical systems and foundation/early construction management experience preferred. Supervisory Responsibility: This position has supervisory responsibility. Expected Hours of Work: An Employee must work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes, however the expectations of the position will require an average of forty (40) hours with overtime required as scheduled. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. Day-to-day, you will: Clean up the site, load/unload materials weighing 50 lbs+, install property protection and organize tools and materials Provide assistance with sitework (i.e., digging a trench) Be proactive; what needs to be done first? What needs to be done next?
