Assist in the assembly and disassembly of scaffolding and other temporary structures needed for specialized work. Perform quality checks on work tasks to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Clean and maintain tools, machinery, and work areas, ensuring they are ready for use. White Pines Landfill is looking for Full-time General laborers to help with our continued success and growth.

GENERAL DUTIES:

The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by this position, and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills.

  • Safely and efficiently perform assigned responsibilities
  • Clean up work area
  • Fuel vehicles and equipment
  • Clean track on track type and related equipment
  • Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pick up
  • Operate general site vehicles and equipment.
  • Direct traffic at the site as necessary in a polite and friendly manner
  • Many opportunities for advancements. Training for equipment operator positions is available and a great experience for anyone looking to learn the trade.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to adapt to work environment and schedule
  • Ability to follow through and solve problems as they arise
  • Ability to follow company policy and procedures as set forth by the company
  • Driver's license preferred
  • Solid attendance is a must.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures
  • May be exposed to solvents, chemicals and refuse
  • May be exposed to other risks associated with working around machines, tools, and trucks

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
