(Typically a project having 250,000 to 2 million construction manhours or a total installed cost of $50 to $100 million.) Ensures that the services of subcontractors and major construction equipment required by the project will be available at the appropriate time to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. Establishes assignments for Construction Superintendents for various work areas of construction operations, monitoring progress and recommending corrective action as necessary. Conducts performance evaluations and recommends promotions and salary actions. Manages the assignment of manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and to meet budget goals. Keeps alert to possible problem areas and takes preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project. Ensures the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost. Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for higher-level management and clients. Ensures effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies. Serves as the primary contact with client representatives, subcontractors, and government representatives for construction-related activities. Maintains strong client and community relations. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience), and typically 15+ years of experience in field construction is required. Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred. Prior federal project experience highly desired. WHAT YOU WILL DO Project Management: Drive successful project outcomes by developing and defining a complete overall project scope for the PMO team to execute, aligned with the mandated financial, timeline, and regulatory requirements in alignment with the corporate strategic plan Collaborate with business owners, SMEs and other PMO team members to define scope of work and project deliverables Manage projects from kickoff to completion by acting as Owners Representative through a combination of onsite supervision and remote management. Manage the Design/Build process to get complete and accurate plans created and vetted with internal stakeholders Supervise the General Contractors, Sub-Contractors, trades and other third parties. Understand and integrate company operations and workflows into all projects. Predict resources needed to complete projects Draft and manage scope of work and resource requirements Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines Assist with any other PMO tasks as needed Provides workflow development and configuration and routinely monitors data transfer from and to the project management software and other core business systems. Acts as a submission agent for Project quotations and records these actions in the project management software. Administrative: Support development and management of processes for project management, communications, data management, & financial services. Support document retention, file management, and document location request query services. Support information sharing and documentation of processes with database management in SharePoint files. Set up and manage Microsoft Teams for document access and communications management. Monitor and analyze financial information and provide reports to management. Record, collate, analyze, and report on financial accounting of the Facilities cost expenditures. Support coordination of document processing and retention: i.e. W-9/ COI, invoicing, quotes, and other documents. Fulfil other requests/ duties as assigned. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 5+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably in cannabis, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing industries. Demonstrated experience managing design/build projects and general contractors across multiple locations. Strong understanding of building systems, compliance, permitting, and facility design. Ability to travel up to 75% across North East U.S. to oversee project sites. Experience using project management software, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams. Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure timely execution of deliverables. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Job Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:Manages all on-site field construction activities associated with the completion of a medium-size project. (Typically a project having 250,000 to 2 million construction manhours or a total installed cost of $50 to $100 million.) Applies a comprehensive knowledge of various disciplines to be used during construction, as well as the methods and techniques to be utilized for installation. Incumbent must become thoroughly familiar with required contractual obligations and technical aspects of all facilities to be erected. In addition to construction supervision, the incumbent is also responsible for field administration, procurement, and field engineering. Willingness to relocate to construction site locations is expected.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
  • Determines budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. Ensures that the services of subcontractors and major construction equipment required by the project will be available at the appropriate time to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Establishes assignments for Construction Superintendents for various work areas of construction operations, monitoring progress and recommending corrective action as necessary.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and recommends promotions and salary actions.
  • Manages the assignment of manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and to meet budget goals. Keeps alert to possible problem areas and takes preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
  • Ensures the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
  • Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for higher-level management and clients.
  • Ensures effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
  • Serves as the primary contact with client representatives, subcontractors, and government representatives for construction-related activities. Maintains strong client and community relations.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience), and typically 15+ years of experience in field construction is required.
  • Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.
  • Prior federal project experience highly desired.

Must have US person status and be able to obtain/maintain federal government project and site accesses.

Local candidates preferred.
