About the Role: As a General Constructor - Interiors/Mateline at Z Modular, you will play a key role in completing the final stages of our modular multi-family housing units. This team ensures each unit is finished with precision and quality, working on elements like base flooring, baseboards, drywall, tape and float, and painting. Our job sites are located in Greater Phoenix. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday (occasional weekends based on project deadlines) Type : Contract-to-hire or Full-time Direct What You'll Do: Installs base flooring to meet high standards of fit and finish across modular units Cuts, fits, and attaches baseboards and trim with attention to detail and alignment Applies tape and float techniques to prepare drywall for seamless finishes Performs interior painting, ensuring consistency, color match, and clean lines Conducts drywall patching and finishing to achieve a smooth, final-ready surface Who You Are: 3+ years of experience in residential or commercial construction, preferably with multifamily projects High school diploma or equivalent preferred Skilled in flooring, baseboard installation, drywall finishing, and painting Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites within the Phoenix area Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions Comfortable using hand and power tools, working at heights, and navigating active construction sites. About the Role:

As a General Constructor - Interiors/Mateline at Z Modular, you will play a key role in completing the final stages of our modular multi-family housing units. This team ensures each unit is finished with precision and quality, working on elements like base flooring, baseboards, drywall, tape and float, and painting. Our job sites are located in Greater Phoenix. 

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
 

Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday (occasional weekends based on project deadlines)

What You'll Do:

  • Installs base flooring to meet high standards of fit and finish across modular units

  • Cuts, fits, and attaches baseboards and trim with attention to detail and alignment

  • Applies tape and float techniques to prepare drywall for seamless finishes

  • Performs interior painting, ensuring consistency, color match, and clean lines

  • Conducts drywall patching and finishing to achieve a smooth, final-ready surface

Who You Are:

  • 3+ years of experience in residential or commercial construction, preferably with multifamily projects

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Skilled in flooring, baseboard installation, drywall finishing, and painting

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites within the Phoenix area

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions

  • Comfortable using hand and power tools, working at heights, and navigating active construction sites.
