What this job involves: As a Design Manager- Retail Banking at JLL, you will be a critical resource for the larger Retail Design Team working on a vast array of architectural and design projects with the unique opportunity to help shape the future of the retail banking experience. This role involves creating site and floor plans for the execution team while managing critical project details from beginning to end. You'll work on diverse project types ranging from state-of-the-art, custom multi-story branches in expansion markets to renovating historical heritage bank locations requiring focused design care and attention. Your work will support the ongoing evolution of standards and graphic materials necessary to clearly communicate design intent while defining the brand identity. What your day-to-day will look like: Create concept interior designs and site plans for new and renovated Retail Branches Act as liaison with business units on Design & Construction matters while overseeing 3rd party Consultant designs Help develop designs that manifest the brand identity and promote progressive, innovative design and construction methods Oversee internal and/or external design and construction professionals throughout project lifecycle Prepare presentation materials and assist with presenting design topics to executive leadership Incorporate sustainability strategy and green building best practices into design and construction projects Support enforcement of policies and procedures while integrating program refinements as part of change management process Ensure adherence to design standards and code requirements as part of team's controls agenda Leverage strong CAD capabilities, graphic and 3D modeling skills, and BIM power for component tracking, cost estimating, and energy modeling Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Architecture or Design degree or equivalent experience 3+ years of construction, architectural drafting, and design experience (retail, corporate office, and/or hospitality projects preferred) Working knowledge of building systems, construction detailing, and building codes Expertise in building and managing detailed construction budgets and schedules, alternative procurement models, and change management Experience with entire project lifecycle from programming through post-occupancy Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2023 or later version Ability to multitask and manage multiple initiatives in various completion stages simultaneously Strong interest and demonstrated commitment to staying current with building/accessibility codes, design software, and design trends Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree and/or architectural license Experience working with industry-leading consultants and construction managers in delivering high-quality, best-in-class programs Proficiency in Autodesk Revit 2023 or later version for developing models, project documentation, and renderings Experience with SketchUp and 3ds Max for creating models, materials, and renderings Global project experience Experience in retail banking or financial services design Knowledge of brand development and graphic design standards Location: [Columbus, Chicago, or Tampa]] Estimated compensation for this position: 75,000.00 - 93,000.00 USD per year This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. What this job involves:

As a Design Manager- Retail Banking at JLL, you will be a critical resource for the larger Retail Design Team working on a vast array of architectural and design projects with the unique opportunity to help shape the future of the retail banking experience. This role involves creating site and floor plans for the execution team while managing critical project details from beginning to end. You'll work on diverse project types ranging from state-of-the-art, custom multi-story branches in expansion markets to renovating historical heritage bank locations requiring focused design care and attention. Your work will support the ongoing evolution of standards and graphic materials necessary to clearly communicate design intent while defining the brand identity.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Create concept interior designs and site plans for new and renovated Retail Branches
  • Act as liaison with business units on Design & Construction matters while overseeing 3rd party Consultant designs
  • Help develop designs that manifest the brand identity and promote progressive, innovative design and construction methods
  • Oversee internal and/or external design and construction professionals throughout project lifecycle
  • Prepare presentation materials and assist with presenting design topics to executive leadership
  • Incorporate sustainability strategy and green building best practices into design and construction projects
  • Support enforcement of policies and procedures while integrating program refinements as part of change management process
  • Ensure adherence to design standards and code requirements as part of team's controls agenda
  • Leverage strong CAD capabilities, graphic and 3D modeling skills, and BIM power for component tracking, cost estimating, and energy modeling

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Design degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of construction, architectural drafting, and design experience (retail, corporate office, and/or hospitality projects preferred)
  • Working knowledge of building systems, construction detailing, and building codes
  • Expertise in building and managing detailed construction budgets and schedules, alternative procurement models, and change management
  • Experience with entire project lifecycle from programming through post-occupancy
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2023 or later version
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple initiatives in various completion stages simultaneously
  • Strong interest and demonstrated commitment to staying current with building/accessibility codes, design software, and design trends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree and/or architectural license
  • Experience working with industry-leading consultants and construction managers in delivering high-quality, best-in-class programs
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit 2023 or later version for developing models, project documentation, and renderings
  • Experience with SketchUp and 3ds Max for creating models, materials, and renderings
  • Global project experience
  • Experience in retail banking or financial services design
  • Knowledge of brand development and graphic design standards

Estimated compensation for this position:

75,000.00 - 93,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
