This short-term assignment is needed from February 2, 2026 to April 30, 2026 to support military members at Pease Air National Guard Base. Candidates must be local to the base or be willing to relocate to become local. Candidates must be licensed at the independent level as a Social Worker (LCSW), Therapist (LMFT), or Mental Health Counselor (LPC). The Assignment Ready Counselor (ARC) will provide coverage in short-term, surge and on demand situations resulting from the Military needs such as a post-deployment event or to cover an existing assignment for counselors who are absent. The Summer ARC counselor position covers assignments during the May 15th through September 15th time period, coinciding with the school summer break. With minimal guidance and oversight, provides the full breadth of Adult or Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) counseling services to military service members and their families at military installations. These services may include non- medical counseling, training/health and wellness presentations, consultation with parents, personnel at child daycare centers and schools, and consultation to installation command regarding behavioral health issues affecting military personnel and their family members. ARC CYB counselors may be assigned to DoDEA schools and community schools and will need to have experience working in a school setting to qualify for ARC role in backing up a school position. CYB counselors may also be assigned to youth programs, summer camps, and on demand assignments. ARC adult counselors may be assigned to support MFLC services in a variety of military community and readiness centers, as well as on-demand and surge assignments. Counseling services are generally preventive in nature and address topics such as living conditions, life skills, relationships at home and work, stress management, adjustment issues, marital problems, parenting, fear, grief, loss and much more. Our counselors use their clinical skills and experience to identify high risk behaviors and assist in referral for ongoing treatment and support. Responsibilities include: • Face-to-face counseling to military service members and their families (Individual, Couples, Family, and Children). • Visibility in assigned school, supporting military-connected students, parents, and staff. • Recommending appropriate referrals and handoffs based on your experienced differential clinical skills to military and community resources according to the needs of military service members and their families. • Developing and/or using approved counseling, training and education programs and materials. • Communicating information regarding trends and issues at assigned school to Team Leads. • Participating in regular in-service training or other contract activities as assigned. • Participating in after-school events. Minimum Requirements: • A Master’s degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD) • Licensure to practice at the independent practice level (LCSW, LMFT, MHC, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist) in the state of Hawaii • Must be a U.S. citizen. • Must be able to pass a basic background check for employment, a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (CNACI) clearance, commonly called a Public Trust clearance. Kia Retailers are offering skilled and experienced military Veterans with the opportunity to begin an inspiring career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. To support this Kia Retailer initiative, Kia America, Inc. has established the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP). Job Description Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components Complete repair orders and warranty request orders in accordance with established Kia and Retailer policies and procedures Test drive vehicles, and analyze, diagnose, and repair components and systems using Kia diagnostic strategies, special equipment, and tools Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs in a timely fashion while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to promote an optimal customer experience All potential employment opportunities presented and advertised within this site are with independently owned and operated Kia Retailers.
