Utilizing the electronic medical records system to timely and accurately fulfill all administrative responsibilities attendant to his/her performance of direct patient care, including but not limited to, entry and completion of progress notes detailing all patient encounters, services provided and treatment plans recommended; electronic order entry of medications and diagnostic tests; and other required documentation in accordance with the policies and procedures of Signature Health and/or other relevant accrediting or regulatory bodies. Psychiatrist must ensure compliance with Signature Health's note completion policy. Preparing and attending to all reports, claims, and correspondence (including email) necessary or appropriate to the performance of the professional services. Email is a regular form of communication within Signature Health and therefore prompt response, generally a response within 24 hours (or sooner as medically/business appropriate) is required. Referring patients to other services within the agency, other physicians, including specialists and other health care providers, when and if needed. Additionally, the Chief of Addiction Psychiatry will aid in the oversight of a 24-bed inpatient dual diagnosis unit in Tufts' new joint venture behavioral health hospital with Acadia Healthcare. Our incumbent Chief will also have the opportunity to continue existing and develop new clinical research opportunities in addiction psychiatry at TMC and across Tufts Medicine. The anticipated schedule will include 20% of time providing strategic and clinical leadership and 80% of time providing clinical inpatient and outpatient treatment at TMC and research depending on the candidate's experience and interest. How you'll transform patient care: This role will oversee a multidisciplinary team, including non-clinician recovery coaches, to expand addiction care across multiple settings such as the emergency department, inpatient services, TMC outpatient clinics, and TMIN practices. The Chief of Addiction Psychiatry will address the high prevalence of substance use disorders within TMIN primary care settings by improving access to team-based addiction care and supporting the performance of Medicaid ACO, Medicare, and commercial risk contracts. This position is essential for advancing clinical research, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and integrating evidence-based practices into addiction psychiatry. The Chief will have opportunities to secure funding for innovative research studies, drive the development of advanced treatment protocols, and translate research findings into meaningful clinical improvements. In addition to clinical and research responsibilities, this role will enhance education and training by mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows while developing curricula that emphasize advanced addiction psychiatry techniques. Job Description

Corewell Health's department of behavioral health is growing to add a BC/BE Adult Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist to Corewell Health Troy Beaumont Hospital. 

The Consult Liaison (CL) Psychiatrist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to provide psychiatric consultation to medical/surgical units and emergency department for patients with primary psychiatric conditions or psychiatric comorbidities. The CL Psychiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, and give recommendations for patients on the respective services, and facilitate referrals for long-term treatment when needed for the diverse population served. This role includes resident and medical student education.

You will be an employed physician, with knowledgeable practice management professionals assisting in day-to-day operations and take advantage the resources and referral base of the larger Corewell Health in Southeast system!
