The Interventional Psychiatry Technician will provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments and esketamine treatments to our patients. The role involves daily administration of psychiatric rating scales under supervision, participation in patient assessments, monitoring patient responses, providing educational information, and complete patient notes. Additionally, this role includes coordinating care with other providers, healthcare offices, and staff to ensure comprehensive patient support. Responsibilities Patient Care: Provide compassionate care to patients struggling with mental health conditions. Administer TMS treatments according to specific physician protocols. Assist in administrating esketamine treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Accurately take patient blood pressure and blood oxygen saturation (pulse oximeter). Offer reflective listening and empathy to support patients with mental health conditions. Clinical Support: Set up TMS and esketamine administration equipment, ensuring all aspects of treatment sessions are accurate and comfortable for the patient. Monitor patient responses during and after treatment, promptly reporting any adverse reactions to the supervising physician. Record psychiatric rating scales and session notes using the EHR system. Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is opening a new outpatient psychiatry clinic located in Dearborn, MI that will offer diagnostic psychiatric assessment for adults (age 18 and older) and psychiatric medication follow-up visits. This new clinic will be a training site for the Corewell Health Psychiatry Residency Program and this role includes resident and medical student education.
