Position Summary The Cruchaga lab at WashU Medicine is recruiting multiple Postdoctoral Research Associates. The Cruchaga lab generates and analyzes high-throughput multi-omic data to study neurodegeneration and diseases of the central nervous system with emphasis on Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and other dementias. The ultimate goal of the lab is to understand the biology of these diseases, to define novel biomarkers, and to identify novel therapeutical targets. We have pioneered in the integration of genetics with omic data to identify proteomic signatures and develop novel predictive models for Alzheimer's, Parkinson, and Dystonia as well as to identify novel proteins and pathways implicated on disease pathogenesis. We are currently analyzing brain, CSF and blood, multi-omic data (transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics), from a large collection of well-characterized samples to identify novel biomarker and causal and druggable targets. We are seeking a motivated researcher with strong analytical skills to join our effort and generate novel insights of neurodegeneration with this unique dataset, while working in a highly dynamic multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. Will join a large team, currently twenty members, which is led by three faculty members and three senior scientists. Our current research projects include the analyses of: Plasma, CSF and Brain Proteomic and metabolomics analysis; Biomarker identification through the use of machine learning approaches; and Multi-omics data integration with genomics, transcriptomics and methylomics data. As a Psychiatry Growth Specialist, you will be at the forefront of that mission, helping us expand into emerging markets and build strong, scalable solutions from the ground up. Reporting to the Psychiatry Growth Manager, you'll dive deep into what makes new markets thrive-collaborating with marketing, provider recruitment, enterprise, and product teams to craft tailored growth strategies. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about increasing access to care for those who need it most. What you'll do Lead the development and scaling of emerging psychiatry markets-taking them from 0 to 1 by designing localized, replicable growth playbooks. Bring a creative and analytical lens to our referral strategy, helping SonderMind think differently about sourcing and growing psychiatry demand, including through internal referrals, enterprise partners, and new acquisition channels. Partner with health systems, referral partners, and internal teams to source new client pathways and expand access to care. Closely track client conversion trends and performance across the funnel-following the "yield" to uncover friction points and growth opportunities. Serve as a market-level spokesperson for the psychiatry program, helping internal teams understand what we need to be successful. What does success look like? Drive revenue and caseload growth in emerging psychiatry markets by developing and executing scalable playbooks that increase provider yield, fill rates, and overall market penetration. Optimize referral performance and client acquisition by improving conversion across internal referrals, directories (e.g., Psychology Today), and new acquisition channels-partnering cross-functionally to identify and activate untapped demand levers. By Month 1, you'll have fully owned the operational project plan for current psychiatry growth efforts and developed initial hypotheses for accelerating sustainable growth within our existing markets. By Month 2, you'll collaborate cross-functionally with Payor, Marketing, Recruitment, Credentialing, and Onboarding teams to identify and execute targeted strategies that drive deeper market penetration. This will include uncovering new growth levers for internal referrals and new acquisition channels (NACs). By Month 3, you'll be actively monitoring core performance metrics-yield, referral volume, and client acquisition trends-to refine your growth strategies, prioritize high-impact opportunities, and begin codifying early wins into repeatable tactics. By Month 6, you'll be shaping the future state of the Psychiatry Program by defining what scalable success looks like in each market, codifying best practices, and driving alignment across teams to ensure long-term, sustainable growth. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, and past performance. Job Duties:

  • Geisinger is seeking candidates to participate in the development and deployment of an innovative hub and spoke consult model.  We are deploying a central hub of Emergency Psychiatry and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry providers to provide consult services. The use of the hub-and-spoke delivery design sets the stage for Geisinger to cast a vital psychiatric lifeline to neighboring rural hospitals, affording relatively seamless integration and assimilation of partner facilities into its network, ensuring continuity of services in remote regions. 

    This consult liaison role will work with a team of providers to provide service to 6 locations in the Geisinger service area.  The goal is to offer a collaborative work environment while serving a broad variety of patients in various inpatient and emergency department settings.
