Position Title
Position Summary / Career Interest:
2 PART TIME OPENINGS. ONE FOR 20 HOURS PER WEEK AND ONE FOR 32. VARIABLE HOURS NEEDED, CAN BE DISCUSSED ON PHONE SCREENING/INTERVIEWPerforms a variety of patient food service, diet office and sanitation duties in accordance with safety, sanitation and service standards. Serves as a liaison between the patient, Food/Nutrition Services and Patient Care Services.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Maintains a safe, sanitary work environment conforming to policies and regulations
- Operates and maintains food service equipment
- Communicates patient food needs and feedback to appropriate area
- Processes diet orders, corrects menus, tallies menu items and performs other patient meal tasks accurately per established procedure
- Serves and picks up patient meal trays per policy; records intake per policy
- Stores, labels and dates food items; uses the First In, First Out (FIFO) methodology
- Follows HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point) principles for time and temperature; records per policy
- Serves menu items for patients and guests utilizing correct servicing utensil and serving size
- Washes dishes, serviceware and pots/pans in the dishroom and pot/pan area
- Removes trash, boxes and other waste from the department
- Cleans throughout the department including but not limited to surfaces, equipment, carts, walls, and floors
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- Customer service experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Diet office, healthcare and/or food service experience.
Preferred Licensure and Certification
- Clay County Food Handler permit or ServSafe certification within 30 days.
Knowledge Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
