REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager. PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: Under general direction, recruits new customers, services existing customers, is responsible for product sales (vitamin and mineral premixes, manufactured feeds, feed ingredients, and products from supply agreements) and identifies business opportunities in an assigned territory, with the primary objective of achieving territory sales goals.  PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Recruit new accounts by making presentations of McNess programs and products to prospective producers. Conduct prospect meetings by utilizing effective presentation skills and being knowledgeable of competitor's products. • Follow-up with producers after the sale to provide outstanding customer service to them and to generate additional product usage. • Market McNess products to all levels of producers. • Achieve cycle and annual sales forecasts by effectively utilizing all available sales resources. Understand the Company's Strategic Plan and aid in delivering the desired results. • Computer literate and capable of effectively utilizing Lotus Notes, Word, Excel, Power Point and ADIFO ration balancing. • Communicate all McNess sales programs and promotions to distributors, feed mills, commodity blenders, producers and prospective producers. • Responsible for the timely completion of truck schedules and closings by ensuring proper communications between customers, resale people, and truck coordinators. Call at least 95% of truck closings (premix accounts) into truck coordinators by the evening prior to the actual day the truck is to be closed. • Establish realistic levels of credit with clients and thoroughly follow up on credit issues for speedy resolution to problems. Advise clients of available credit limits for the purchase of Company products and services. Maintain accounts receivable for assigned territory within the policy as set forth within the Company. • Submit reports or other information or work-related tasks requested by members of the Management Team. • Recruit distributors (where applicable) and assist them in setting sales objectives, scheduling sales presentations, and developing new accounts. • Resolve producers' concerns and questions in a timely manner independently or if required through the utilization of other company resources i.e. customer service, credit, technical services, etc. • Perform duties in a safe manner to reduce exposure to injuries or accidents, including safe driving and lifting. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Be able to succeed within and adhere to the culture of the Furst-McNess Company. • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation. • A bachelor's degree in animal science, nutrition, etc., or the equivalent in work-related experience and five or more years of direct sales experience. • Ability to lift 50-pound feedbags (which may include twisting and turning of the body) for customers on an occasional basis. • Ability to read, write and speak English. • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office products. • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Company products, including premixes, commodities, and by-products, and the ability to sell these products to all levels of customers. • Good communication skills, both oral and written, and is capable of utilizing these skills within all levels of the Company as well as externally. • Ability to provide outstanding customer service to all customers, associates and management staff, showing a sense of urgency relative to solving problems, performing assigned tasks, employee concerns, etc. • Ability to effectively organize work schedules and manage multiple assignments by utilizing time management skills to ensure day-to-day assignments and special projects are completed within guidelines agreed upon. • Ability to work as an effective team member within the Central Operating Area and company, as a whole. Willingness to pitch in and do work that may not be a specific part of the job description for the overall good of the department and company. • Ability to be flexible and be willing to change along with recommending and making changes that can enhance our ability to serve both internal and external customers more effectively and in a professional manner. Job Summary: The WIC Nutrition Educator will conduct nutrition and health assessments, determine nutrition risk, provide individualized nutrition and breastfeeding education, and make referrals to professional and community resources. This position works as a member of a team in providing direct services for women, infants, and children. Essential Functions/Major Duties and Responsibilities: A. Nutrition Educator Services 95% Interview clients regarding their health and nutrition history, using motivational interviewing and displaying non-judgmental and empathetic listening skills. Provide participant-centered, up-to-date, and culturally relevant nutrition and breastfeeding education and support Obtain weight, length, and hemoglobin’s as prescribed by program Refer participants to RiverStone Health and community resources as needed Provide knowledgeable breastfeeding support for mothers and infants. Nutrition Services Aide provides support to patients and staff by cleaning, serving patients, employees, and hospital staff.
