As the Associate Director, As a Social Art Director, you are responsible for hands-on visual concepting and execution across digital, social, and experiential channels. You will collaborate with creative leads, producers, designers, and cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality, compliant, and emotionally resonant content that reflects our mission and connects with diverse audiences. What We Are Looking For A hands-on visual storyteller with a strong portfolio of social-first content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn. A detail-oriented executor with deep expertise in concepting and producing high-impact creative work for short-form video, carousels, stories, and platform-native formats, ensuring all visual content aligns with brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and regulatory requirements. A collaborative partner who works closely with creative leads, producers, designers, copywriters, and cross-functional teams across the IHA and Social Media Center of Excellence. A trend spotter who stays ahead of design trends, platform updates, and audience behaviors to inform creative direction. Confident presenter who can articulate creative concepts and incorporate feedback from stakeholders. What You'll Work On Develop and execute visual concepts for social-first campaigns and always-on content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Translate strategic briefs into design solutions that reflect brand identity and connect with diverse audiences across platform-specific formats. Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and cross-functional partners to ensure cohesive storytelling and creative alignment. Provide art direction and feedback to internal teams and external vendors to elevate the quality of creative output. Champion inclusive and accessible design practices, ensuring all visual content is welcoming and usable for all audiences (including WCAG, alt text, captions, and localization). Stay current on design trends, platform updates, and audience behaviors, proactively bringing new ideas and approaches to the team. Support the development and maintenance of design systems, templates, and visual assets to drive consistency and efficiency. Leverage technology and creative platforms to streamline workstreams and automate repetitive tasks. Ensure all visual content adheres to brand guidelines, accessibility requirements, and regulatory standards. Contribute to a culture of creative excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Participate in creative reviews, providing and receiving feedback to continuously elevate the quality of work. Leverage video content creations tools such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Firefly, and Express to create content swiftly at scale. Minimum Experience / Personal Skill Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 10+ years of experience in creative design roles, with a strong portfolio demonstrating impactful, hands-on creative work for social and digital platforms. Certifications in Adobe Certified Professional and Meta Digital Marketing Associate are required. Equivalent industry-recognized certifications in Adobe tools, digital content creation, social media management, or related platforms will also be considered. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment, with a proven ability to develop powerful and effective creative concepts grounded in a deep understanding of social media trends, platform algorithms, and audience engagement strategies. Highly motivated to pursue other ongoing learning and professional development to stay current with application advancements and industry best practices across tools and social platforms. Strong portfolio showcasing social-first content across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.). Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with a track record of building alignment across creative, marketing, and business stakeholders. Experience working within highly regulated or compliance-heavy environments such as healthcare, finance, government, or media, with a strong understanding of the importance of process rigor, documentation, and cross-functional review. Familiarity with social analytics and content performance tools (Sprinklr, Hootsuite, or similar). Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to inform decisions, optimize performance, and demonstrate business impact. Strong understanding of creative workflows, project lifecycle, and resource planning, with experience scaling operations for high-volume creative output. Effective capacity management skills at both individual and team levels, ensuring resources are aligned to strategic priorities. Competence with standard IT tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud - MAC platform). Experience with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile) and tools (e.g., Workfront), including logging time or duration at the task level. The anticipated wage for this position is $127,500 - $187,000 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
