Migrant Child Care Center Manager Job Compensation $23.64 Per Hour Migrant Child Care Center Manager Job Responsibilities: Conduct and/or participate in the hiring of staff and completion and submittal of the hiring paperwork along with required documentation in accordance with UMOS hiring procedures. Will plan and coordinate new employee orientation and trainings for new hires and volunteers. Provide direct supervision to coordinating staff, Bus Driver and Food Services Manager that includes providing training and technical assistance and conducting performance appraisals.  Develop and maintain employee work schedules, submit overtime requests including justification and review and approve timesheets. Develop, maintain, and secure Administrative and Personnel Records that includes Health Records and I-9 Forms in accordance with UMOS HR policy and procedures, and implement the employee accident/prevention program including processing workers’ compensation claims as necessary.      Review and verify eligibility of children including documentation review, and signature of the Certificate of Eligibility Form.  Ensure physical environments conform to federal, state, and local regulations, including compliance with ADA, state licensing requirements and OSHA regulations by performing and/or assisting in completing the ADA compliance checklist, Facilities walk through initial inspection and passing licensing inspection of facility. Assist with the annual renewal of facilities license and submit all required documentation for licensing including required information for the YoungStar program.  Ensure facility and equipment are maintained by completing of Safe Environments checks, completing facility inspections (ex. fire, water, and gas) and ensures facility inspections, pest control, health and safety procedures and the Emergency Preparedness Plan are adhered to. Implement CACFP/SFSP in accordance with USDA regulations that includes compliance to approved menus, scheduling of meals, special diets, reviewing and completion of necessary documents, approving necessary food substitutions and monitoring food safety and sanitation procedures of food service personnel. Implement UMOS Purchasing procedures through submittal of requisitions/ purchase requests and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment in Inventory and/or other inventory control system. As part of the communication system, plan and coordinate weekly core team meetings and monthly staff meetings, and attend meetings, seminars, workshops, open houses, parent activities. Assist and monitor expenditures for compliance with budgetary allotments based on enrollment. Implement and monitor procedures/methods for child’s health emergencies, child abuse prevention and reporting, injury/accident prevention and reporting, transitions, sanitation, food handling, and maintaining confidentiality. Coordinate the timely submittal of weekly and monthly reports including, daily attendance participation records and other assignments as directed. Assist and/or coordinate all home visits conducted by core team and teaching staff to maximize efficiency and coordinate the random drug testing for select staff to include monitoring staff as per the Reasonable Suspicion guidelines.  Responsible for data entry in data base systems for program area assignments such as fiscal, transportation, facilities, and food services, and participate in data collection for community assessment. Report suspected child abuse & neglect according to state law and UMOS policies and procedures.  Implement and monitor ongoing recruitment plan activities, including recruitment of children with disabilities. Perform other duties as assigned.  Migrant Child Care Center Manager Job Qualifications: Be 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. 60 college credit hours with 12 credit hours in Early Childhood and/or CDA.   Preferred, BA in Early Childhood Education or related field. Must meet state licensing and Head Start requirements for Center Manager. Child Care Administrator’s Credential or ability to obtain within 2 years.  Preferred experience in a Childcare setting with one year of supervision. Possess presentation/training experience and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Have reliable transportation, possess a valid driver’s license, and have adequate insurance.   Bilingual in Spanish and English, Preferred. Additional Eligibility Requirements: Employment with UMOS is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check prior to starting. In accordance with licensing regulation, must complete a physical exam and TB test showing absence of Tuberculosis within 30 days of employment. Must complete Fire Extinguisher Training, Child CPR and First Aid within 30 days.
