Job Title: Protestant Music Director

Location: Whiteman Air Force Base , MO 65305

Duties:

  • The applicant shall perform for all regularly scheduled worship services, praise team rehearsals and additional services as requested.
  • Support and assist the Lead Faith Group Chaplain or designee in selecting appropriate music and audio/visual requirements
  • Work closely with pastoral team in determining worship style and song selection.
  • The applicant shall create song slides for worship service.  Song slides are to be turned into Lead Faith Group Chaplain or designee weekly at a predetermined time.
  • The applicant shall conduct and lead weekly praise team rehearsals.
  • The applicant shall continually upgrade and maintain the music library and songs used in the worship service.
  • The applicant shall ensure that all facilities and musical equipment are properly secured after use.
  • The applicant must maintain model decorum with special attention to dress and conduct themselves in a manner appropriate for religious services and programs.

Qualifications:

  • Must believe and adhere to the basic tenants of the Protestant Christian faith.
  • Ability to play a musical instrument and lead worship simultaneously.
  • The applicant should have a basic understanding of military protocol and possess the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.

Education/Experience:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with a church and/or chapel program directing and leading contemporary or blended worship.
