GUEST SERVICES - USHER/TICKET TAKER SUMMARY Guest Services Staff will act as the primary provider of direct services to guests when they are inside the venue. They are responsible for providing a safe environment for all guests beginning the moment they enter the facility. The incumbent will provide a variety of customer service duties on behalf of the venue for its guests, in an expert, professional and friendly manner. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Answer guest questions, direct guests to important areas of the venue (restrooms, ATM, coat checks, VIP areas, and concert area) and provide additional assistance whenever necessary. Operate the various coat check rooms within established guidelines and procedures at the venue. Scan tickets for entry into the venue, administer applicable wristbands for event entrance (21+, VIP Access, Private Event Access). Greet guests and resolve guest complaints, escalating concerns as necessary. Seat guests and assist ADA patrons. Enforce all policies and procedures of the venue. Complete all company and venue required trainings. Act as a member of the emergency evacuation team by communicating with and directing guests during a facility emergency. Monitor venue during guest arrival and exit to comply with fire department safety regulations. Perform other duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by Management and Supervisors. Meets with wedding couples to plan music and meets with families of deceased to plan the liturgy and music. Plans and facilitates the Liturgy Committee meetings to ensure that all worship and celebrations are conducted appropriately and within the guidelines of Catholic Church teaching, including church decorations. Develops and adheres to an annual liturgy/music budget with assistance of the Director of Operations. Ensures that all liturgical supplies are in stock, such as candles, sacramental wines, etc. Keeps abreast of current music repertoire and sustains a high measure of skill in planning instruments and/or singing. Attends pastoral staff meetings and collaborates with other ministries, especially with youth sacramental director and adult faith formation director and other areas as needed. Position Qualifications Master’s degree in theology or Liturgy or comparable experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in music, music education or a similar field is preferred. Must be proficient in at least one performance area, i.e. choral, voice or keyboard. Previous experience planning and directing liturgy in a catholic church is preferred. Must be able to effectively direct and motivate teams and have excellent organizations skills. Must have exceptional communication skills to interact positively with a variety of people. When appropriate, Music Creative distributes the assets and works with the soundtrack team for any future releases (physical and digital). The Department also oversees budgets, licensing, playlisting, and on-camera performances & works closely with music personnel hired to work on our productions. Music Creative liaises with Music Legal/BA, Music Licensing, Music Copyright Administration & Soundtrack/Catalog development. Within SPT, TV Music Creative works closely with SPT Current & Development, SPT BA, SPT Production, SPT Marketing, and SPT Post on all music matters. TV Music Creative also works with music labels, music publishers, agents, managers and independent artists to source talent, pre-clear music (including for the department’s “Indie Drive”) and proactively pre-negotiates terms as necessary on behalf of the studio before going to Music Legal/BA and/or Music Licensing to facilitate them entering into final contract negotiations. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain accuracy of artist contact record and deal memos in booking system. Update client bios, riders, and ad mats. Enter offers and related show details into the booking system. Liaise with relevant teams to complete show-related administration. Issue contracts for confirmed performances. Track unreturned contracts; chase signed contracts. Flag/review/address contract markups. Create and issue artist itineraries when necessary. Organize and execute announces and on sales. Request, report, and/or review ticket counts for confirmed events. Create and send invoices for show-related payments (deposits, balances, etc). Track unpaid deposits and balances; liaise with accounting team to ensure funds are received and allocated on time. Track, collect, and enter finals; notify accounting team to generate statement(s). Coordinate with accounting team to update client tax information and payment information. Manage work visa process for clients (immigration itineraries). Coordinate with operations team for client on/off boarding. Set and confirm meetings; maintain agent calendar and internal artist calendar. Manage inbound phone calls on behalf of agents. Book agent business travel as necessary. Submit agent expense reports. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Base salary: $47,500 plus bonus potential if applicable for role. Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. GUEST SERVICES - USHER/TICKET TAKER

SUMMARY

Guest Services Staff will act as the primary provider of direct services to guests when they are inside the venue. They are responsible for providing a safe environment for all guests beginning the moment they enter the facility. The incumbent will provide a variety of customer service duties on behalf of the venue for its guests, in an expert, professional and friendly manner.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer guest questions, direct guests to important areas of the venue (restrooms, ATM, coat checks, VIP areas, and concert area) and provide additional assistance whenever necessary.
  • Operate the various coat check rooms within established guidelines and procedures at the venue.
  • Scan tickets for entry into the venue, administer applicable wristbands for event entrance (21+, VIP Access, Private Event Access).
  • Greet guests and resolve guest complaints, escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Seat guests and assist ADA patrons.
  • Enforce all policies and procedures of the venue. Complete all company and venue required trainings.
  • Act as a member of the emergency evacuation team by communicating with and directing guests during a facility emergency.
  • Monitor venue during guest arrival and exit to comply with fire department safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by Management and Supervisors.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • Previous experience preferred, but not required   
  • Reliable, punctual, and regular in attendance
  • Ability to work in a loud and fast paced environment 
  • Ability to de-escalate tense situations   
  • Ability to work in varying conditions
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive attitude with superior customer service skills, and be team oriented 
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time
  • Strong intrapersonal skills with an outgoing, friendly personality 
  • Strong listening and verbal communication skills
  • Availability to work various hours: nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

PREFERENCES

  • Previous experience working in events and knowledge of the music industry preferred
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed according to venue schedule

 

Payscale: $10 - $25

 

Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current

bonus plan requirements.
