Position Details: Kilgore College is seeking a passionate and experienced Guitar Instructor to join our Music Department. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality instruction to students of varying skill levels, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The Guitar Instructor will be responsible for teaching individual lessons to music majors and non-majors, preparing students for performances and auditions, planning and executing recitals and other performances, and contributing to the development of the music program Responsibilities: This is an adjunct faculty position. Responsibilities will include teaching one or more Music courses, developing appropriate course syllabi, and working with students as needed. Kilgore College is seeking a passionate and experienced Guitar Instructor to join our Music Department. The Guitar Instructor will be responsible for teaching individual lessons to music majors and non-majors, preparing students for performances and auditions, planning and executing recitals and other performances, and contributing to the development of the music program

Responsibilities:

This is an adjunct faculty position. Responsibilities will include teaching one or more Music courses, developing appropriate course syllabi, and working with students as needed.

  • Provide individual lessons to students at different levels of proficiency
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs and goals of each student
  • Prepare students for performances, auditions, and other related activities
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their techniques and overall performance
  • Collaborate with other music faculty to plan and execute recitals, concerts, and other events
