Clinical services within the Autism and Neurodevelopment Clinic primarily focus on diagnostic evaluations. The position is part of the University of Minnesota's new center for clinical research on brain development, the Masonic Institute on the Developing Brain (MIDB). MIDB brings together researchers, clinicians and educators, as well as policy and public health experts with the goal of addressing early and adolescent brain health to improve their collective impact and increase the speed of discovery. Position Highlights: Provide psychological and neuropsychological evaluation of children and adults with suspected or previously diagnosed autism. Provide supportive communication with family members, school and other providers involved in the child's care. Position entails performing in-depth evaluations, written and oral feedback to families, related providers, and schools regarding test results and recommendations for treatment and educational planning. Potential opportunities for treatment groups Provide supervision of trainees Participate in team conferences and provide consultative services on and off site. Collaboratively work as a positive, constructive team member. Additional job activities include conducting various outreach activities for the medical professional community and participating in seminars and various other didactic experiences. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or a Psy.D. in clinical psychology, school psychology, or counseling psychology from an APA and/or CPA accredited program, internship training, and minimum 1-year post-doctoral training in pediatric psychology or neuropsychology is required. Licensed or ability to acquire clinical license and in the State of Minnesota and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges. Preferred Qualifications: Research-level training on diagnostic measures for autism, including ADOS and Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R). Be willing to train to reliability on both measures. Interest in working with complex patients with autism (severe autism, autism with co-occurring medical or mental health conditions) We are particularly interested in individuals who want to contribute to or develop clinical research on autism Pay and Benefits: This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $51,178 - $150,000 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE. Job Summary

The position is responsible for patient assessment, psychological testing and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. Provides individual, couples, family and group behavioral treatment, patient and community, and student education.

Accountabilities

  • Provide individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy.Utilize independent decision-making in plan of care for therapy services provided.
  • Conduct psychological testing and assessment for designated psychiatric patients.
  • Provide timely professional documentation of psychological testing reports, treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Participate in the training/teaching of students and residents.
  • Works in conjunction with treating psychiatrist and makes appropriate referrals to other professionals or community services as needed.
  • Actively participate in development of psychological services for the Department of Psychiatry, to include community outreach and education

Supervisory/Management Responsibility

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements

  • Doctorate in Clinical psychology, PhD or PsyD
  • 1 year of Post-doctoral experience in medical setting

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses

South Carolina License to Practice Clinical Psychology (Lawson Code LLCP)

In Lieu Of The Above Minimum Requirements

PsyD is the equivalent to PhD.EdD accepted as long as licensure is obtained.

Team members employed in this job prior to July 1, 2020 are grandfathered under prior educational and experience requirements. In addition, team members must be certification eligible and will have one year to obtain required certification.
