About Us Sunnyside Adult Residential Facility is a mental health facility for adults ages 18-59 located in Torrance, CA. We are a residential facility with a capacity of 118 beds. Sunnyside ARF partners with local Department of Mental Health Branches and local Full Service Providers to give a healthy and stable environment to our residents. Job Description Participates in the development, negotiation, implementation, and management of the budget for the program support service operations, clinic, or programs overseen; ensures that budget and contract allocations reflect program priorities; and takes corrective action where necessary.  Conducts resident intake assessments and supports a new residents transition.  Develops and executes internal individual treatment plans and group therapy schedules Formulates policies and procedures concerning administration, ensuring compliance with Federal and State Medicare and Medicaid regulations for reimbursement claiming and maximum recovery costs for directly billable services.  Develops and monitors revenue-generation procedures and objectives for programs managed, including achievement of revenue goals.  Develops and implements reporting procedures to ensure that program services utilization and revenue data are reported accurately and in a timely manner.  Coordinates the delivery of staff training necessary to maintain mandated levels of services.  Monitors service delivery to ensure that services conform to acceptable standards of care and establishes and modifies program monitoring and review methods as necessary.  Oversees audits and the implementation of audit recommendations for programs managed.  Represents managed programs in meetings with representatives of other County departments, State and Federal agencies, and other public and private entities.  Participates in outreach to DMH and local partners regarding potential new residents and openings.  Provides behavioral interventions as needed to residents Requirements Qualifications Adult residential facility setting Flexible schedule and hours  Pay is DOE Must have  A valid, current license to practice as a clinical social worker or marriage and family therapist issued by the appropriate State of California licensing agency and 1 year experience. Our Multi-Tier Systems Support (MTSS) Team serves all students, including across all disabilities (mild, moderate, and severe), through an innovative approach that includes coaching and deep partnership with our general education partners, integrated special education (ISE) partners, school leaders, and related service providers. Position Summary: Rocketship School Psychology Interns are responsible for providing both direct and indirect support to students, families, and staff members in order to ensure high quality programming for students with disabilities. Based in Washington, DC and reporting to the Associate Director, School Psychology, the School Psychologist Intern, will play a critical role in ensuring we are meeting our Child Find obligation. At Rocketship Public Schools, our psychs and psych interns serve a small number of elementary schools. A typical day includes attending pre-referral meetings, initial/triennial assessment, behavior consultation, direct and indirect support of students receiving social emotional intervention, and supporting school leaders in implementing MTSS systems. Our schools utilize a meaningful inclusion model for special education, so an integral part of the day-to-day work is supporting teams in creating plans that allow all students, regardless of disability, to spend the majority of their day in the general education classroom. Essential Functions: Duties will include, but not be limited to: Lead psycho-educational and formal behavior assessments; write quality, compliant assessment reports. Attend IEP meetings; present assessment findings to the team. Assist in the implementation of assessment recommendations as needed. Participate in the pre-referral process and provide consultation to school teams regarding intervention supports for struggling students. Work with parents to build knowledge of disability and inclusive support for students with disabilities. Assist in providing consultation and advice to administrators, teachers, and parents regarding the general and special educational programs as appropriate. Assist in coordinating, communicating and seeking consultation with community agencies as appropriate. Maintain a compliant practice. Participate in frequent, direct and indirect, supervision with Rocketship’s Manager of Psychological Services as well as other members of the school psych team Some campuses may require consultation, collaboration, creation, and implementation of 504 plans Some campuses may require additional consultation around social emotional and behavioral systems and structures Some campuses may require additional counseling and other intervention supports Perform other duties as assigned or requested by the Associate Director of SEL Qualifications: Enrollment in a Masters and Credentialing Program for School Psychology (NASP highly preferred) Bilingual, Spanish (preferred) Experience working in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (highly preferred) Experience working with elementary-age students (preferred) Experience working with students with a range of disabilities (learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, autism, etc.) (highly preferred) Excellent written and oral communication skills Commitment to Rocketship’s special education inclusion model and overall mission to close the achievement gap within our lifetime. About Us

Sunnyside Adult Residential Facility is a mental health facility for adults ages 18-59 located in Torrance, CA. We are a residential facility with a capacity of 118 beds. Sunnyside ARF partners with local Department of Mental Health Branches and local Full Service Providers to give a healthy and stable environment to our residents.

Job Description

    • Participates in the development, negotiation, implementation, and management of the budget for the program support service operations, clinic, or programs overseen; ensures that budget and contract allocations reflect program priorities; and takes corrective action where necessary. 
    • Conducts resident intake assessments and supports a new residents transition. 
    • Develops and executes internal individual treatment plans and group therapy schedules
    • Formulates policies and procedures concerning administration, ensuring compliance with Federal and State Medicare and Medicaid regulations for reimbursement claiming and maximum recovery costs for directly billable services. 
    • Develops and monitors revenue-generation procedures and objectives for programs managed, including achievement of revenue goals. 
    • Develops and implements reporting procedures to ensure that program services utilization and revenue data are reported accurately and in a timely manner. 
    • Coordinates the delivery of staff training necessary to maintain mandated levels of services. 
    • Monitors service delivery to ensure that services conform to acceptable standards of care and establishes and modifies program monitoring and review methods as necessary. 
    • Oversees audits and the implementation of audit recommendations for programs managed. 
    • Represents managed programs in meetings with representatives of other County departments, State and Federal agencies, and other public and private entities. 
    • Participates in outreach to DMH and local partners regarding potential new residents and openings. 
    • Provides behavioral interventions as needed to residents

Qualifications

  • Adult residential facility setting
  • Flexible schedule and hours 
  • Pay is DOE
  • Must have A valid, current license to practice as a clinical social worker or marriage and family therapist issued by the appropriate State of California licensing agency and 1 year experience. OR A valid, current license to practice as a psychologist issued by the appropriate State of California licensing agency and 1 year experience 

Shift:

Full-Time

 4-5 days a week, ideally weekdays but open to one of those days being a weekend
