We emphasize an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to care.

The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology and will have experience working with patients with eating disorders. The EDC3 psychologist will provide assessments and evidence-based outpatient therapeutic interventions for patients with eating disorders. This position may involve a full-time faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School, offering a unique opportunity to mentor students and contribute to research.

This role also offers the opportunity to help shape the continued growth of psychological services within the clinic. We welcome candidates who are interested in developing new clinical initiatives, expanding treatment offerings, and tailoring aspects of the role to align with their areas of expertise and professional interests.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations focused on eating disorder behaviors and diagnoses, as well as assessment of co-occurring psychological conditions.
  • Provide individual therapy using evidence-based methods to treat eating disorders, including CBT-E, FBT and DBT.
  • Consider expanding services to offer group therapy or other outpatient treatment initiatives.
  • Collaborate in the ongoing development of clinical programming and services within the clinic.
  • Coordinate treatment planning with an interdisciplinary team, with weekly clinical meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, clinic staff, and community-based clinicians.
  • Document patient encounters in the electronic medical record in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.

  • Licensed or license-eligible Psychologist in the State of Massachusetts.

  • Experience providing psychological assessment and therapeutic services for adult patients with eating disorders (preferred experience also working with adolescents >12 years old).

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
