We are seeking a full time Clinical Psychologist in Gulfport, MS. Specific Duties: The type of work may include, but is not limited to, the following: • Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges. • Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate. • Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders. • Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.• Assist in rehabilitation of patients. This position is in support of the Psychological Health initiative under the Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (PH and TBI) program. The program seeks to address gaps in the care available for the prevalent injuries among combatants from the global war on terrorism. Through adoption of risk-based staffing models and a uniform, best practice standard of care across DOD, the program seeks to ensure easy, rapid access to PH care for all beneficiaries and to ensure that transition across networks of care recognizes the unique care coordination and case management requirements for PH and TBI patients. Work Schedule: Normal schedule is Monday - Friday, 8.5 hours between 7:00am and 3:30pm, including a half-hour lunch break. No Weekends, No Call, No Holidays! What is the School Psychologist Role? As a school psychologist at Brooke, you provide direct support to individual and small groups of students in the areas of social skills, self-regulation, self-advocacy, etc and create and implement positive behavioral plans. You collaborate with stakeholders including serving as a liaison between the school, student, parent, and external agencies, as well as engaging parents and teachers as partners in students' therapeutic interventions. You conduct comprehensive evaluations including cognitive, academic, attention, social/emotional and functional behavior assessments and conduct classroom screening to assist teachers in planning effective educational strategies for all students. You may also perform other related duties as requested by the principal. Salaries are competitive with local districts. The salary range is $90,000-$126,000, commensurate with experience.
