Job Title: Adjunct Teaching- School of Music- Music Theory 196
Posting Close Date: April 13, 2026

Position Start Date: June 22, 2026
Required Degree: Doctorate in Music Composition.
The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience: Minimum of three years of university-level music teaching experience, including undergraduate theory and ear training, common-practice forms, analysis of tonal and post-tonal pieces, and private and group composition instruction.
Duties/Expectations:
- Teach Music 196 Theory, daytime instruction
- A firm commitment to the Aims and Mission of BYU
- Excellent student mentoring skills
- Demonstrated classroom management and organizational skills
- Assisting faculty within the Composition and Theory Division as needed
