Position Title: A Shipper + CDL Major Purpose: The A Shipper + CDL is responsible for efficiently managing the shipping and receiving of finished goods, ensuring all items are accounted for and verified. Flexibility: Willing and able to work flexible shifts as needed to meet production demands. Responsibilities: Shipping and Receiving: Ensure safe, damage-free shipping and receiving of all loads. Maintain and monitor the shipping lot for cleanliness, damage, and proper storage (e.g., rewrap leaning stacks). Perform regular 5S housekeeping and recycling tasks to maintain a safe and efficient environment. Documentation and Communication: Prepare and review shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading and Picklists. Notify management promptly of any issues or abnormalities. Operational Excellence: Train and oversee new shippers to ensure compliance with processes and safety standards. Inspect process areas, identify problems, and take corrective action. Maintain and troubleshoot shipping tools and equipment, escalating issues to the Superintendent when necessary. Ensure adequate supplies of W.I.P. (Work in Progress) items for daily production runs. Quality Control: Report quality issues to the Supervisor and Plant Superintendent and implement corrective measures. Prevent nonconforming products by adhering to quality control processes. Cost Control: Operate efficiently to minimize waste and maximize resources. Actively suggest cost-saving measures.
