Prepares dishes according to Primanti Bros. recipes and specifications in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PLAYER MAY BE REQUIRED TO FULFILL OBLIGATIONS OF SEVERAL OR ALL POSITIONS 1. Prepares a variety of food, with diverse methods of preparation and adheres to specific product and prep handling procedures and plate presentation on all stations including – Appetizer, Bread & Fries, Grill, Pizza, and Salad. 2. Prepares all food items required on Prep List, labels all food according to Shelf Life Chart. 3. Completes assigned prep work to stock and set up stations as necessary. 4. Adheres to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures. 5. Follows proper HACCP temperature procedures, and temping product when appropriate. 6. Uses Waste Log and Cooldown Charts when appropriate. 7. Prepares all orders to recipe specifications and in a timely manner. 8. Communicates ticket times and potential problems with Service Assistant, Coach, Bartender, or Server as needed. 9. Ensures proper rotation of all products and stocks product to par. 10. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all Players to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate. 11. Helps team to stay caught up with dishes in the dish area. 12. Completes the opening, shift change, and closing checklists found in multi-colored wall units as well as weekly and monthly cleaning tasks. 13. Performs other duties as needed per Coach request. SKILLS AND ABILITIES 1. Ability to write and read the English language. 2. Good communication skills, friendly, and people oriented. 3. Enthusiastic, dependable, courteous, able to multitask. 4. Possesses basic math skills. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Stands 100% of the shift. Lifts and carries weights of up to 50 lbs. during shift. Able to hold items with hands (knives, pans) for extended periods of time, with up to 5lbs of weight. Frequent bending and stooping. Works frequently in a hot environment and/or with an open flame. Frequently works with sharp knives and utensils. Frequently works with hot plates. May use slicers or other kitchen machinery. Able to read tickets. Able to communicate with Coach and other Players to ensure Fan satisfaction. Job Description

Our Pastry Cook’s primary responsibility is to work with the Chef in producing, measuring and mixing ingredients, and preparing and improving items. The Pastry Cook is engaged in producing bakery products for guests and co-workers of the restaurant. To ensure that the guest’s expectations are consistently exceeded. The Pastry Cook follows and ensures compliance with food safety handling policies and maintains an organized and hygienic work area, including personal hygiene procedures The Pastry Cook must be thoroughly familiar with Lawry’s appearance standards, safety procedures and the overall operation of our kitchen.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

  • A minimum of 1-2 years prior experience as a prep cook or pastry cook in a high volume kitchen is required.
  • Consistently follow and execute recipes, preparation methods, and portion control procedures in a fast, high volume environment
  • Pastry cook candidates must have above average knife skills and must display station organization.
  • Must be able to stay cool under pressure and be a team player.
  • Must have a commitment to heart of house excellence.
  • Must have current Food Handler’s card
  • Must be able to work evening shifts, weekends and holidays

EXPERIENCE

At least one (1) year of previous experience as a prep cook or pastry cook in a high-volume, high-end dining establishment is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

Current Local/State Food Handler’s Training Certifications as required.

Computer Skills: Basic familiarity with computers POS system, calculators and touch screens.

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Some college or culinary education beneficial.

Salary Range: $18-$21/hour
