Analyzes and troubleshoots problems by performing necessary repairs, including but not limited to clogged drains, leaking faucets, clogged toilets, and malfunctioning ice machines, dishwashers, washers/dryers, heat pumps, etc. Utilizes appropriate experienced vendors for equipment repairs requiring special expertise, such as watermain breaks, fire sprinkler systems (if applicable), fire safety equipment, and freezer/refrigerator repair, etc. Coordinates with outside vendors for approved services. Maintains an appropriate working inventory of supplies necessary to keep building and related equipment in constant working order. Manages activities of the department so as to meet department budget expectations. Performs basic cleaning functions in assigned areas following established community schedules and protocols. Basic cleaning protocol includes: Dusts horizontal surfaces. Empties wastebaskets, removes waste, relines basket. Damp-wipes or dusts all furniture. Cleans and polishes metal, plastic, and porcelain fixtures in bathrooms. Mops and sanitizes floors of rooms and offices. Spot cleans walls and windows. Polishes metal surfaces. Replenishes room supplies such as toilet paper, tissues, soap, etc. Vacuums carpets and spot cleans as needed. Performs heavier cleaning functions as assigned. These may include shampooing carpets, cleaning windows, wiping down walls and wiping light fixtures. Assists in cleaning of emergency spills when requested. Depending on which club schedule the shift will typically be a weekday morning shift between the hours of 7am to 7pm. Job Responsibilities Complete all items on cleaning checklist to prepare facility for guests. Ensure building is secure. Sweep and mop floors strip/wax/buff floors where applicable. Vacuum and shampoo carpets. Remove litter and sweep parking lot periodically. Wash windows, entry doors and other surrounding surfaces. Clean and restock restrooms -refilling soap, paper towels and toilet paper dispensers. Dust and sanitize counter tops, vending machines, and chairs. Picks up debris, empty ashtrays and removes trash to outside dumpster. Replaces plastic trash can liners and lightbulbs, as necessary. Assist with landscaping tasks (i.e. mows/rakes lawn), as requested by management. Shovel snow from around entrances/exits, apply ice melt as needed. Perform painting and minor building repairs as requested by management. Follow safe usage directions on all cleaning products and chemicals used in the course of the job. Communicate with manager regarding cleaning problems and supply needs. Report all company violations to management. Other duties as assigned.
