about the position… Power Design has an opportunity for a Custodian to join our organization for the overnight shift. Hours will be 6 pm to 2 am. position details/responsibilities… Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming. Gather and empty trash. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Dust furniture, walls, and all vertical and horizontal surfaces. Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas. Request supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Perform general laborer work and miscellaneous tasks as needed and assigned by Facilities Manager or Property Manager. here’s what we’re looking for… High School diploma or equivalent. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good client/customer service skills. Ability to read, write and understand instructions. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work effectively with a team. Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort. Polish metal fixtures and trimmings. Help organize site supplies. Empties and decontaminate trash containers. Disposes of infectious waste when assigned. Mixes or blends routine cleaning solutions to proper concentration as necessary for various tasks. Washes blinds, windows, screens, sills and walls with prescribed solutions. Pick up trash, chips, and paper around buildings. Must be able to climb a step ladder, use floor burnisher, and communicate effectively with customers. Pass and maintain any required security clearance requirement and comply with Drug Free Workplace policy. Adheres to Operations Security (OPSEC) standard operations procedures. Adheres to Property Control Plan for management of Government Furnished Property (GFP). Upon clicking "Submit Application", you will be directed to this 2nd step"* Job Summary The Overnight Custodian / Cleaner will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of all areas of the facility to ensure a positive member experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, fitness equipment and gym floor. Stock locker rooms with proper supplies/paper products. Properly dispose of trash and maintain the trash cans. Clean/dust items high off the ground (i.e., ceiling fans, TVs, rafters) Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment (Toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment etc.) to the Club Manager. Follow “Lost and Found Policy” and turn in lost member property to the Club Manager/Assistant Club Manager immediately. Qualifications/Requirements Custodial experience is preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older. Punctuality and reliability is a must. Ability to work overnights. Honesty and exceptional work ethic. Ability to solve problems independently. Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language. High School diploma/GED equivalent preferred. Physical Demands Continual standing and walking during shift. Must be able to occasionally lift over 80 pounds. Will encounter toxic chemicals. Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities. Moving self in different positions, including bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and twisting, to accomplish tasks. Why Join Planet Fitness?
