Housekeeping- Head Custodian Position Description: Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and ensure it is sanitized. Sweeps, dusts, mops scrubs and vacuums hallways, stairs, office space and other assigned areas of the overall gym. Cleans, mops, scrubs, polishes, and disinfects all bathroom areas as needed. Responsible for maintaining a sufficient supply of materials (e.g. towels, tissue, soap, etc.) in all bathrooms in assigned areas. Empties trash and garbage containers in all assigned areas, as well as the gym overall. Maintains all floor areas in a safe, clean, and orderly manner. Job Summary The Day time Custodian will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of all areas of the facility to ensure a positive member experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, fitness equipment and gym floor. Stock locker rooms with proper supplies/paper products. Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment (Toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment etc.) to the Club Manager. Follow “Lost and Found Policy” and turn in lost member property to the Club Manager/Assistant Club Manager immediately. Qualifications/Requirements Custodial experience is preferred. Punctuality and reliability is a must. Ability to have open availability in the day time is a must. Honesty and exceptional work ethic. Ability to solve problems independently. Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language. High School diploma/GED equivalent required. Must be 18 years of age or older. Physical Demands Continual standing and walking during shift. Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift. Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift. Job Position Description: This position is responsible for creating cleaner, healthier environments for our customer’, their students and grounds by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be Assigned: Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools and procedures Cleaning duties include: sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash, windows, cleaning, moving furniture and equipment etc.. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment. Use proper PPE where required Opens and locks facilities, enable and disable security system as required. 1-2 years’ experience as a custodian, janitor, housekeeper a plus but not required Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school is a plus. The ability to be flexible, work at a fast-paced and in a multi-tasked job is a must. Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time Has respect and understanding for co-workers and customers Must be able to communicate in English Physical Demands and Qualifications: Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, reaching forward. Must be able to lift and and/or carry 25lbs.
