Job Summary The Custodian / Cleaner will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of all areas of the facility to ensure a positive member experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, fitness equipment and gym floor. Stock locker rooms with proper supplies/paper products. Custodian Location - Propel Homestead Propel seeks a Custodian for our Facilities Department. This position is based at Propel Homestead and is available immediately. That rate for this role is $18/hr. This position works year round. St. Leo the Great and St. Vincent de Paul seek candidates for a part-time Custodian. The part-time Custodian works 15-18 hours per week to perform routine cleaning and maintenance of parish buildings and property. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager and works collaboratively with other facilities staff under the pastor. Must have availability to respond to on-call emergencies. Essential Functions Helps ensure parish buildings and grounds are clean and orderly. Assists Facilities Superintendent in maintenance tasks as needed. Sweeps, vacuums, mops, and waxes floors, washes walls and windows, removes dust and debris as needed. Selects equipment and materials for cleaning, replenishes supplies in buildings as needed. Removes trash from inside the buildings and from the grounds. Performs minor maintenance tasks, such as replacing filters and bulbs. Position Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid Maryland driver's license with no more than 3 points. Previous cleaning/maintenance experience is preferred. Knowledge of safety standards for use of cleaning equipment and products preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following: Supervise & assign duties to the housekeeping staff. Maintain the cleanliness of all types of flooring throughout the facility. Ensure that all areas remain free of trash. Restrooms, dressing and locker rooms are well maintained, and tile surfaces are dry and clean. Maintain all glass, steel, and office surfaces through dusting, cleaning and polishing. Responsible for the proper storage of facility event equipment when not in use. Ensure all emergency pathways are kept free and clear of obstructions. Responsible for keeping housekeeping equipment and tools in working condition and notifying supervisor of any broken parts. Ensure all equipment and supplies are cleaned and returned to their proper place when finished with them. Complete daily checklist to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our patrons attending each event. Assist clients with requests during events. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve housekeeping operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to meet customer expectations. Ability to work effectively as a team and with other building departments. Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Management. Other duties may be assigned. Job Summary: The Custodian is responsible for cleaning the building and contents within, the grounds and various maintenance duties. He/She will demonstrate an aptitude and command of all company-wide policies and initiatives to ensure the integrity of the Crunch brand. Essential Job Responsibilities: Responsible for cleaning up all areas of club and equipment used. Deep cleans and rearranges all equipment to include unseen areas. Deep cleans locker rooms daily (toilets, urinals, showers, lockers etc.). Dusts and cleans all flat surfaces throughout the club. Picks up and puts away equipment, magazines and other clutter throughout the club. Vacuums and dusts all cardio and strength equipment throughout the club. Maintains and repairs equipment if capable. Follows schedule/checklist as close as possible, but stays flexible to variances. Records on schedule the times tasks are completed. Takes ownership of areas of responsibility.
