To learn more about Trillium, visit www.trlm.com The Role Trillium is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester & Technical Writer. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software while also providing traders and internal users with clear, concise, and well-structured documentation. You will test software to identify and document bugs and usability issues and translate technical concepts into user-friendly materials. This role requires strong attention to detail, a structured approach to software testing, and the ability to write accessible content for traders while maintaining technical accuracy. You’ll also play a key role in helping us build an AI-augmented knowledge base, enabling users to find answers quickly using natural-language queries. We’re investing in tools that make documentation not just searchable, but conversational. Responsibilities Quality Assurance Testing Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand software functionality and testing requirements Design and execute manual test cases to ensure the reliability and usability of trading software Identify, document, and track software bugs/issues, providing clear reproduction steps and supporting artifacts (e.g. logs, screenshots) Verify bug fixes and enhancements before deployment Conduct regression testing to ensure new changes do not impact existing functionality Contribute to improving QA processes and recommend tool enhancements over time Technical Writing Work closely with the development team to understand new features and translate them into clear actionable documentation Write and maintain user guides, documentation, knowledge base articles, and other internal communications Tailor documentation for a trader audience – accurate, visually supported, and fast to consume Create visual assets including screenshots, GIFs, and annotated diagrams to illustrate software features and workflows Review and refine content for clarity, consistency, and usefulness Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to improve content Maintain up-to-date documentation as the product evolves Requirements 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Tester and/or Technical Writer, preferably in fintech, trading, or software development Experience in manual software testing, including writing test cases and documenting defects Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and consistency Proficiency with bug tracking tools such as Jira Ability to translate complex technical concepts into digestible, user-friendly documentation Proficiency in creating visual documentation (screenshots, GIFs, diagramming software) Ability to manage multiple documentation projects in a fast-paced environment What Se ts Y ou A part Familiarity with trading platforms, market data, or financial technology Experience with Jira and Confluence Exposure to working closely with traders Strong instincts for usability and UX, particularly in data-dense or fast-moving applications Proficiency in organizing and maintaining internal knowledge bases or training materials Experience structuring documentation for use with AI tools, or custom LLM integrations for documentation workflows Involvement in collaborating across disciplines (engineering, product, trading, support) A passion for clean, structured documentation and process excellence Location : This is a hybrid role based in NYC *Start Date: On or about August 4th, 2025 Compensation and Perks The reasonably estimated salary for this role is $90,000 – $130,000 + Additional Bonus if applicable. Actual compensation is based on a number of factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
