What You Will Be Doing: Own test planning, test case design, and traceability from requirements and user stories to results Execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, end to end, and exploratory testing across browsers and devices Build and maintain automated tests for UI and API layers, Cypress or Playwright or Selenium or WebDriverIO , and integrate with CI CD Validate accessibility with automated and manual methods, axe or Pa11y or WAVE, keyboard only workflows, color contrast checks, and screen reader testing with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver Verify USWDS components and patterns, responsive behavior, and content standards including plain language Measure performance with Lighthouse and WebPageTest , raise issues on Core Web Vitals, and verify optimizations Test analytics and tagging where permitted , DAP and GA4, event schemas, and data quality Validate CMS workflows, content publishing, permissions, redirects, links, sitemaps, robots, and 404 or 500 handling Support security and privacy reviews by reproducing findings, retesting fixes, and documenting evidence Manage defects through the full lifecycle, triage, prioritize, reproduce, and verify fixes, maintain clear defect narratives Maintain test data, environments, and mocks or stubs, coordinate with DevOps on stable builds Create release readiness reports, test summaries, and artifacts that support ATO inputs and change control Contribute to continuous improvement, refine acceptance criteria, propose test coverage improvements, and mentor teammates on quality practices What We Need From You (Required): 4 or more years in software quality assurance for web applications, including public facing sites Hands on experience with a modern test automation framework, Cypress or Playwright or Selenium or WebDriverIO Strong manual testing skills, clear bug writing, reproduction steps, and risk based prioritization Working knowledge of accessibility testing, Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 AA, automated and manual Cross browser and cross device testing expertise , Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Android and iOS Experience testing REST APIs with tools such as Postman or similar Familiarity with USWDS patterns, responsive design, and content quality checks CI CD exposure, for example GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps, and version control with Git Test management in Jira and Confluence, TestRail or Zephyr or similar U.S. citizenship, and the ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation Bonus Points (Desired): Trusted Tester v5 certification or DHS Section 508 credentials Experience with performance and accessibility monitoring in production, Siteimprove or similar Basic security testing familiarity and tooling, OWASP ZAP or dependency scanning Experience with Drupal 10 or headless CMS publishing workflows Knowledge of analytics validation for government sites, DAP and Google Analytics where permitted Work Setup & Travel: Hybrid - Based in Washington, DC. This Position reports to:

Quality Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

Inspect and troubleshoot any defects or discrepancies in conformity

Assist other QC Personnel, Operators, Assemblers, etc. when quality questions arise

Perform inspections using measurement tooling (calipers, gauges, meters, etc.)

Train other employees as well as participate in additional training.

Inspect, examine, and observe for product or equipment defects.

Cross Training will be expected and required.

Potential of some weekday and/or weekend OT.

Experience in the use of various hand tools such as screwdriver crimpers etc. but not limited to

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the role

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing environment, assembly or casting preferred

Minimum 1 year experience in quality

Desired experience in SAP and Windchill

Ability to work with teams and deliver feedback to operators concerning identified issues

Experience using computers Microsoft Office Suite and other web applications.

Ability and experience in reading interpreting engineering drawings and other related technical drawings and models.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Ability and willingness to climb ladders, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift heavy objects.

Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.

Work along of as a member of a team Initiative, teamwork, flexibility & attention to detail
