As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will...

  • Engineer, deploy, integrate, test, and configure Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS), Government-off-the-Shelf (GOTS), and custom software
  • Be responsible for system design, development, architecture, and integration of in-house and third-party developed software packages into the baseline. The individual will conduct technical analysis of complex infrastructure and integration challenges and report findings to stakeholders
  • Design and implement scripts to automatically configure machine environments using tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or Chef and scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python
  • Provide input to design and development teams, and monitor progress and productivity through the use of metrics
  • Act independently, supporting the geospatial implementation on large programs

Senior DevOps Engineer Qualifications:

  • 6+ yrs. of related experience in the following:
  • Software integration, troubleshooting, and application administration of complex computer systems including 3rd party software integration
  • Red Hat Linux & Windows administration
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware, VirtualBox)
  • Scripting languages (BASH, Perl, Python, Ruby, PowerShell)
  • Build and packaging tools (Apache ANT, Jenkins, Maven, RPM, Wix/MSI)
  • Networking (IPv4, IPv6, TCP/UDP, IGMP/PIM, IPSEC, LACP, VLAN, Cisco iOS)
  • Network multicasting
  • Programming languages (C++, Java)
  • Web servers (httpd, IIS, Tomcat, JBOSS)
  • Database concepts and usage (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, NoSQL)
  • Software encryption (SSL/PKI)
  • Enterprise hardware (switches, RAID configurations, SAN/DAS/NAS, Fiber/NFS/iSCSI, blade/rack-mount servers)
  • GEOINT/SIGINT/IMINT domain knowledge
