About the role

This role will focus on automating and supporting IT infrastructure and application deployment processes and tasks to improve our capabilities and service offerings with greater self-service abilities using infra-as-code principles, DevOps tools and open-source technologies.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure Gartner's enterprise application environments are stable, reliable and secure. Meet and exceed SLA's/OLA's.

  • Support technology leaders to advance our application platforms and automation pipelines.

  • Provide and support the tactical and strategic directions for Gartner's cloud and application infrastructure.

  • Manage and consolidate Gartner's application deployments to drive down costs.

  • Provide status reports to the Team Manager, Sr. Director and VP of Application Services in Enterprise Technology and Operations.

  • Support our security, performance, observability and resiliency frameworks.

  • Support AppDev teams to ensure delivery of desired business outcomes

  • Maintain Service Levels and department goals for Incident and Problem resolution.

  • Support automation efforts across DevOps team utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), micro service-based cloud deployments and CI & CD.

  • Work on container orchestration technologies [EKS].

  • Work on Cloud Providers like AWS and Azure.

What you'll need:

Strong IT professional with up to 7 yrs of experience in devops and cloud. The candidate should have strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills along with high on ownership and accountability.

Must have:

  • 5 to 7 years of Information Technology experience with 3 years of relevant experience in AWS, automation and DevOps tools.

  • Operating System proficiency- Linux or Windows [one or both per role needs]

  • Experience in administration and operations of Kubernetes- EKS

  • Experience in GitOps- ArgoCD, FluxCD , Helm, Weave, Kustomize

  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools- Terraform, Ansible, Cloudformation , CAPI [2 or more]

  • Experience in building automation pipelines with CI/CD tools- Jenkins, git, Docker, GITHUB Actions , CloudBees.

  • Scripting/Programming- Shell, Bash, Powershell, Python Groovy, Kubectl. [2 or more]

  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to participate in rotational on-call support.

Nice to have :

  • Experience with supporting environments running Apache, Tomcat, NGINX, Node.js, Java based application

  • Experience with observability tools- Dynatrace,Grafana,Splunk [2 or more]

  • Experience in cloud networking and security

  • Relevant Cloud certifications

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 100,000 USD - 149,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
