DevOps Engineer 6-12 Months Charlotte NC Job Opportunity: DevOps Engineer Candidates Should have 7+ years of experience below 7 years candidate will not work and no OPT candidates We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer for a 6-12 month project in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have 7 years of experience in DevOps development and a passion for continuous improvement and innovation. Key Responsibilities: CI/CD & Automation: Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for efficient software releases using Jenkins and GitLab pipelines. Cloud Migration: Migrate Spring Boot microservices from an on-premises Rancher platform to Azure Cloud, ensuring secure and efficient deployment solutions. Containerization: Manage containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes, implementing service mesh with the Istio framework. Release Management: Collaborate with various teams to ensure timely production releases and efficient workflow processes. Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and IT teams to resolve issues and optimize workflows. Security (DevSecOps): Integrate security best practices and manage vulnerabilities using tools such as SonarQube and Fortify. Scripting & Tooling: Develop automation scripts and manage configuration tools like Ansible. Infrastructure Management: Provision and manage scalable Azure infrastructure using Terraform and ARM templates. Monitoring & Logging: Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health using tools such as Datadog and Splunk. Programming Knowledge: Basic understanding of object-oriented programming in Java/Groovy is advantageous. Project Management Tools: Experience with Agile project management tools such as JIRA and documentation tools like Confluence. Gen AI: Knowledge of large language models and agentic AI, including tools such as GitHub Copilot.
