SENIOR GROUND SOFTWARE DEVOPS ENGINEER I Based out of Rocket Lab's office in Littleton, CO, the Senior Ground Software DevOps Engineer I is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our ground software build & deployment environment. You will be working on the ground software engineering team to plan out and implement a continuous integration system for a variety of space missions. SENIOR GROUND SOFTWARE DEVOPS ENGINEER I

Based out of Rocket Lab's office in Littleton, CO, the Senior Ground Software DevOps Engineer I is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our ground software build & deployment environment. You will be working on the ground software engineering team to plan out and implement a continuous integration system for a variety of space missions.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:

  • Work with the ground software team to design, develop and improve our devops engineering
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate continuous build and testing into a broader CI/CT/CD framework
  • Work closely with software developers, operations personnel, and systems engineers to understand deployment requirements and functional needs

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • U.S. citizenship is required, due to program requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent technical degree
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, specializing in devops
  • Strong experience with Linux
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes
  • Strong experience with Docker
  • Strong experience writing Python or another programming language (Go and/or Rust)
  • Strong experience writing maintainable automation scripts
  • Experience working with large distributed web applications
  • Experience with Helm
