The opportunity We currently have an opportunity for a Senior IT Manager - Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps to join our Corporate IT team based in our Canton, MA office or remote within the United States. The seasoned cloud infrastructure leader is a strategic and operational leader responsible for oversight of enterprise Azure environment and driving transition to cloud-centric model. Owns Azure estate end-to-end—from FinOps and budget governance to Kubernetes orchestration and CI/CD automation. Leads a high-impact engineering team focused on delivering secure, scalable and cost-optimized cloud solutions through DevSecOps practices and Infrastructure-as-Code. Drives transformative cloud adoption, and partners across security, architecture, and application teams. Fluent in cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure, and has strong grasp of AWS. Key responsibilities include Cloud architecture, FinOps, Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD automation, and hybrid infrastructure optimization. Collaborates across security, architecture and development teams, mentors engineers and champions culture of innovation, operational excellence and continuous improvement. Some of the Senior IT Manager - Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop and maintain the enterprise cloud strategy, primarily in Azure with strategic insight into AWS. Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native and hybrid solutions integrated with on-premise systems. Oversee infrastructure automation using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions, ensuring code quality and testing standards. Manage cloud subscription structures to optimize cost, performance, and resource allocation; implement FinOps practices for budget forecasting and accountability. Define and enforce cloud security standards in collaboration with InfoSec, ensuring compliance with CIS, NIST, NAIC, NYDFS, and corporate policies. Architect and manage secure, scalable cloud networking including VNets, ExpressRoute, firewalls, DNS, and hybrid connectivity. Lead adoption and operations of containerized workloads using AKS, including orchestration, scaling, and enterprise-grade deployment patterns. Own and evolve DevOps platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), promoting reusable pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and DevSecOps practices. Operate and maintain AKS clusters across environments, automating upgrades, scaling, and deployment strategies. Design highly available, compliant cloud infrastructure leveraging Azure-native services and implement operational excellence through runbooks, SLOs, and on-call models. Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, and development teams to align cloud initiatives with enterprise technology strategy. Mentor and coach cloud engineering staff, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth. Chair the Cloud Center of Excellence, publishing standards, guardrails, and reference architectures. Maintain and evolve documentation for current and future-state architectures, standards, and governance processes. Drive observability and reliability through proactive monitoring, alerting, and participation in ITSM processes. Identify and remediate technical debt, continuously improving systems and reducing operational overhead. Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends, applying innovations to enhance service delivery and cost efficiency. Support audits, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery initiatives, ensuring readiness and compliance. The expertise you bring Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience 10+ years in relevant roles 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering and architecture, with a strong focus on Azure and familiarity with AWS. 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams or cross-functional initiatives. Proven ownership of large-scale Azure environments (≥ $1M annual spend), including cost management and optimization strategies. Deep expertise in Azure services (e.g., VNets, ExpressRoute, App Services, AKS, Key Vault, Functions, Blob Storage, API Management). Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS), container security, service mesh, and high-availability deployment strategies. Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), with DevSecOps practices. Solid programming/scripting skills in languages such as TypeScript, Java, Python, SQL, PowerShell, and Bash. Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, Zero Trust, RBAC, and incident response in cloud environments. Familiarity with observability tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and SRE practices. Experience designing and managing multi-region Azure environments with hybrid/on-premise integration. Demonstrated ability to document, support, and communicate scalable, efficient infrastructure solutions. Skilled in agile delivery frameworks and modern cloud-native development practices, including microservices. Excellent stakeholder engagement, budgeting, and communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for business leaders. Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building capabilities, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience, and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires, but your recruiter will share more specific compensation information with you during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $165,000 – $207,000, based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $180,000 -$211,000.
