Title: DevOps Engineer – GitHub Location: New York, NY

Introduction

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on GitHub. This role involves working closely with both development and operations teams to streamline deployments, enhance system reliability, and ensure robust performance and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CI/CD pipeline development, infrastructure automation, and cloud environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to work directly for our company on W2
• Minimum 10 years of experience in DevOps
• Proficiency in Git workflows and advanced use of GitHub features
• Experience with GitHub Actions and at least one other CI/CD tool (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• Strong scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container ecosystems
• Solid understanding of Linux/Windows operating systems and networking fundamentals
• Knowledge of security best practices including IAM, vulnerability scanning, and secure CI/CD processes
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in embedding security best practices into CI/CD workflows
• Experience in incident and change management
• Background in enhancing system resilience and performance

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and other tools
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with IaC tools
• Serve as the bridge between development and operations teams
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
• Identify and automate repetitive tasks through scripting
• Embed security best practices into workflows
• Lead incident response and manage change processes
