Your work as the Senior Windows Server Support Engineer includes several components: • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to server and network topology, equipment, and configuration(s). • Provide Infrastructure services in all areas needed: storage networking, Operating System, network security, directory services, server virtualization using system backup and restore, system and network monitoring, application installation and configuration • Troubleshoot end-user issues for assigned clients on a daily basis. • Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems including network connectivity, traffic utilization, etc. using available network tools in a timely fashion. • Interface with third-party vendors as a liaison between client and vendor • Work on all assigned tickets and projects as needed until they are complete. • Communicate all necessary tasks with the client in order to schedule their completion at a time that is most convenient for them. • Oversee successful management of client expectations when targets cannot be met. • Configure, test, and maintain LAN equipment and services, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN. • Create and maintain SOP's for tasks that are performed by you daily, monthly, quarterly, and annually. • Participate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and/or on-call availability as needed. • Assist with the annual budget by conducting high-level planning meetings with your Pod clients. • Provide advice as needed with client purchases of hardware and software. • Create, request, and present technical specifications and requirements for purchasing of new servers and networking equipment via quote procedure. • Complete all expected training and ensure that certifications are maintained as necessary. • Communicate escalated issues to the department head as necessary. • Business awareness: specific knowledge of each customer and how IT relates to their business. • Responsible for entering time in ConnectWise on a daily basis prior to the end of the workday. • Review IT publications and online materials to remain up to date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry. Our ideal Senior Windows Server Support Engineer has the following qualifications: • 5 yrs MSP experience • Knowledge of IT applications, processes, software, and equipment. • Knowledge of Server Operating Systems. • Experience with and understanding of routers and firewalls. • Understanding the relationship between switches, hubs, patch panels, and connecting nodes to a network. • Understanding of DNS services. • Working Knowledge of Non-Cisco Firewall Technologies - SonicWALL, Linksys, NetGear. • Hands-on experience with Wired and Wireless networking, PC and server virtualization "VMWare and Hyper-V". • Shows solid understanding of and ability to configure TCP/IP and troubleshoot Internet connectivity. • Achieves and maintains multiple certifications at a high skill level. Your work as the Senior Windows Server Support Engineer includes several components:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to server and network topology, equipment, and configuration(s).

• Provide Infrastructure services in all areas needed: storage networking, Operating System, network security, directory services, server virtualization using system backup and restore, system and network monitoring, application installation and configuration

• Troubleshoot end-user issues for assigned clients on a daily basis.

• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems including network connectivity, traffic utilization, etc. using available network tools in a timely fashion.

• Interface with third-party vendors as a liaison between client and vendor

• Work on all assigned tickets and projects as needed until they are complete.

• Communicate all necessary tasks with the client in order to schedule their completion at a time that is most convenient for them.

• Oversee successful management of client expectations when targets cannot be met.

• Configure, test, and maintain LAN equipment and services, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN.

• Create and maintain SOP's for tasks that are performed by you daily, monthly, quarterly, and annually.

• Participate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and/or on-call availability as needed.

• Assist with the annual budget by conducting high-level planning meetings with your Pod clients.

• Provide advice as needed with client purchases of hardware and software.

• Create, request, and present technical specifications and requirements for purchasing of new servers and networking equipment via quote procedure.

• Complete all expected training and ensure that certifications are maintained as necessary.

• Communicate escalated issues to the department head as necessary.

• Business awareness: specific knowledge of each customer and how IT relates to their business.

• Responsible for entering time in ConnectWise on a daily basis prior to the end of the workday.

• Review IT publications and online materials to remain up to date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry.

Our ideal Senior Windows Server Support Engineer has the following qualifications:

• 5 yrs MSP experience

• Knowledge of IT applications, processes, software, and equipment.

• Knowledge of Server Operating Systems.

• Experience with and understanding of routers and firewalls.

• Understanding the relationship between switches, hubs, patch panels, and connecting nodes to a network.

• Understanding of DNS services.

• Working Knowledge of Non-Cisco Firewall Technologies - SonicWALL, Linksys, NetGear.

• Hands-on experience with Wired and Wireless networking, PC and server virtualization "VMWare and Hyper-V".

• Shows solid understanding of and ability to configure TCP/IP and troubleshoot Internet connectivity.

• Achieves and maintains multiple certifications at a high skill level. The following certifications are preferred: MCSA, CCNA, Network+.
